guys need to leave here. I know what’s going on so don’t give me any of that ghost conversation…just get out of here ok.”
We all looked at him and said,” We lost track of which direction the hotel is and he looked around. “Well I don’t know where your hotel is but I’ll make sure you’ll get there without any ghost coming up.”
I looked at Scarlett and said,” Do you remember where the hotel is?”She looked at me and shook her head and said,” I think it was this way, but I’m not sure.”
I looked at Mr. Noble and said,” It’s getting dark and we’re getting tired.”
He looked at everyone’s faces and nodded and pointed off toward a direction and said,” I know there is some caves over there because I’ve went to them.”He started off and we followed him. Soon we came upon some caverns and all sat down. We started talking and his apprentice told us some stories of what had happen when people came to this island. Then we fell asleep and before I knew it was morning again.
“Where’s Mr. Noble you guys?”
Nobody said anything and then we all looked at Scarlett.
“I told him to stay here but he said he had to be at a certain point yesterday. So he left during the night. I think he’s gone…”
I looked at her and ran outside. I kept running and running until I couldn’t catch my breath. Suddenly everyone was at my side saying it’s all right over and over again. I couldn’t think and started sobbing. Everything that guy had said last night had made me happy. He told of people who would faint and wake up with him and his apprentice in ghost form standing over them and then they would faint again. He was so funny and so nice. To actually put him in one word he was just great. And now he is gone and I can’t cope with it. I must look hysterical to my friends but I noticed some of them weren’t actually helping me stand up, they were helping themselves. Everyone had started crying. Even the boys had token an effect on this.
“We should get going. I think I remember the way” Scarlett said as she started walking off. We all followed and on our way we gathered ourselves up. Finally I saw the hotel roof over the gigantic trees and smiled.
“I think we should go home…I’m not feeling so good and we can come back another time” I said to everyone. The nodded and later on in the day we went home.
It wasn’t long after that I entered college. Then I left college after about five years later. I soon became an author and I wrote many books. But the one book I will never forget is My Friend at War.
