quietly but loud enough for something to hear. A dark figure crawled out from behind a tree I drew my sword,” Relax miss secret, it’s just me.”
“ Don’t you remember about telling me first, you could’ve been a shadow beast. And then you would’ve been dead.”
“ Or you would’ve been.”
I paused, why do I take almost everything for granite. I’m sick of doing that. Falling back into a tree trunk I sat on the ground not knowing what to say.
“ Sorry.”
“ What?”
“ I’m sorry about your grandfather.”
“ It wasn’t your fault.”
I gritted my teeth and spoke in a harsher tone than I meant to.
“ Look I’ve had a hard day and I don’t need to do this again.”

Sitting in the awkward silence I thought about the seen that I viewed from a low view. Everything happened so fast I still couldn’t believe he was gone but I tried looking ahead instead of constantly looking back. I have to be brave, but what’s stopping me. There’s like a barrier in front of me that I keep running into.
“ Hello, Ebony. I’ve been shouting your name for the last five minutes.”
“ I’m spaced out right now.”
“ Go rest.”
“ Don’t tell me what to do.”
But I got up and walked towards my house anyway (I wanted to sleep but my soul wanted something else). Walking inside the door all I could hear was silence so I walked up to my room and found all my gifts there. Most of them were useful so I packed them up, packed up some clothing, food and water. Carefully creeping out I went over to my grandfathers house and stepped inside. Shivers went up my spine, I crept twoard the fireplace and removed the brick, there was the dragon egg. Holding out in my cupped hands carefully I suddenly realized it was cracking. Almost dropping the poor egg I caught it just in time and the shell fully cracked. Inside was a black dragon, it hopped out and started looking at me with it’s big blue eyes. Putting my hand close to its face it almost walked into it but instead turned away a threw blue fire out of its mouth not much bigger than a pencil. Quickly backing away just in time the blue fire hit the fireplace and burned up unusually quick.

Not wanting to waste anytime I scooped up the startled dragon that just started blowing fireballs and put it in a chest the perfect size for it to fit. I packed up the things grandfather said I would need for the quest, like: the maps, the gear in the chest and any other extra supplies I could carry. I flung on my packs and got grandfathers young horse, Terieth. Tying a few things on him I also got his other horse who was middle aged, Florish. Putting the chest on her back I tied them down so they wouldn’t go lose, I ran for another rope and hooked the two horses together. Flinging myself over Terieth, I gave a click and dug in with my heels and we started galloping away. There is a place where I used to go with my father when he let me hunt dragons with him. It was a sister-wood to our ancient woods, the water there was also pure but it was a fair distance away, I think 16 hours at the most. First I had to raise a dragon, then I could continue my quest.
