Episode Five "Easy Dungeon?"

Recap:

Jeff enters the dungeon and spots an ant-man. He tries to attack the ant-man before he ends up running away.

Jeff returned to the dungeon with a fire under his eyes. He had returned to the guards and asked how to use his magic. He was taught how to use his fireball magic. He ventured into the dungeon. He returned to where he saw the first ant-man at. He drew the circle needed for the fireball and chanted the words: “Raise the flames and release the fireball.” A fireball flew from his extended hands and went towards the ant-man. The fireball hit the ant-man in the chest and pushed him back. He flew through the air and hit the wall behind him. “Yes!” He shouted. He went towards the ant-man he killed and discovered a small crystal on the floor. From what he learned from the guards he discovered that the dungeon monsters drop crystals that could be sold for money. He grabbed the crystal and stuffed it into his pocket. He then turned the corner and followed the path. He didn’t get a map from the guards. He wandered the dungeon floors in search of more antmen. He couldn’t find any more antmen on the first floor. “Where are they? There’s supposed to be more antmen on the first floor, at least five of them.” He said aloud. He continued into the dungeon and found the stairs to the second floor. He continued through the second floor finding no monsters. Where can they be? They have to be here somewhere, thought Jeff. He continued through the second floor, eventually, finding the stairs for the third floor. He continued through the floors with ease until he made it to the hundredth floor. It took him two hours to do so as well as taking five breaks. Once he got on the hundredth floor he heard a woman’s scream. Somebody’s in danger, he thought. The scream got louder. He also heard the sounds of monsters getting louder. What is happening? He thought.

Episode Six "Figure"

Recap:

Jeff returned to the dungeon and was able to kill the ant-man that he couldn’t defeat earlier. He ventures farther into the dungeon and is able to make it to the hundredth floor, but finds no more enemies.

Jeff peeked around the corner and saw a flood of monsters surrounding a small hut. Why are there huts? I’m sure that this dungeon was made of mazes with no actual buildings, he thought. He slowly crept towards the monsters. None of them knew he was around. He ignited a fireball and threw it at the monsters. Some of them caught on fire while others looked towards Jeff. A big portion of the monsters turned their attention towards him. They slowly moved towards him. Jeff threw another fireball at the monsters. It caught a couple on fire but didn’t deal much damage. He summoned and threw more fireballs at the monsters. Only the low-level monsters were dying while the higher level monsters remained unfazed. The woman’s screams got louder. The monsters were breaking down the hut. The screaming, now at its peak, echoed out throughout the floor. It then stopped and the monsters seemingly disappeared. What is happening? Jeff thought. He wasn’t sure what happened. They disappeared into thin air. He turned around and faced the hut. It was broken and torn to the ground. In shambles. Jeff walked up to the hut in search of any bodies, but couldn’t find any. Not the corpse of the girl nor any monsters. He searched the shambles, but couldn’t find any trace of the girl. He then felt a sharp pain in his side. He turned around and noticed a figure behind him. The figure was covered in darkness, so he couldn’t tell who was behind him. He fell to the ground as the weapon he was pierced with was covered in paralysis poison. He was also infected with sleeping magic. He dropped his weapon. His eyes closed and he drifted to sleep. He was knocked out.

Episode Seven "The other side of Jeff"

Recap:

Jeff ventured into the dungeon and made it to the hundredth floor. Once there, he was attacked by a figure behind him leaving him paralysis.

Jeff left the dungeon unfazed. He walked up to the guards.

“You done?” Jake asked.

“I am,” Jeff said. He revealed the dungeon’s core. The core of a dungeon powers the dungeon. It’s also responsible for summoning monsters to defend the cave. The more mana the core has will influence the strength of the monsters. The core is also responsible for summoning a dungeon king to serve and protect the dungeon from intruders. The dungeon king for this beginner's dungeon was killed off a long time ago. The only reason the dungeon has survived is that the government has chosen to keep it alive by leaving the core intact. Jeff had now taken the life support of the dungeon. He ripped the heart from a corpse.

Ryan gasped. “The core!” he muttered. “Why do you have that?”

Jeff smirked. “Was I not supposed to do this?” He asked. He acted innocent with a confused look.

Jake laid his hand on Ryan’s shoulder. “We’ll talk to the king later about this. For now, let’s depart.” He walked back to the carriage and got the horses back into their spots. Ryan glared at Jeff before returning to his spot on the carriage. Jeff smiled. The right side of Jeff’s face changed from his original color to black. His smile became twisted. The right side of his face was black while his left side was normal. His twisted smile was on full display as his right side of his body also changed to fit the black and cracking appearance.

“I will fulfill my mission. I won’t let you down.” Jeff said aloud. “My mission will be completed.” He changed his right side and transformed it to fit his original skin color. He got into the carriage and they departed. They made their way back to the castle.

Episode Eight "Suspicion"

Recap:

Jeff exited the dungeon with a new perspective. His body was taken over by a demonic source, so now he’s half-human and half-demon.

As they neared the castle they came upon two familiar faces. The mummy girl and zombie boy from before. They were on the side of the street. Jeff waved at them. The mummy girl waved back. The zombie boy did not. “Mind stopping the carriage?” he asked. Jake nodded. He stopped the carriage.

Ryan didn’t like the unnecessary stop. “We need to report to the king immediately.”

“We’ll be fine. If it’s at the request of the king’s retainer then it should be fine.” Jake said. Jeff got off the carriage and walked up to the girl.

He reached out his hand. “Hello!” He said.

“U-uh h-hi.” The mummy girl said. She didn’t shake his hand.

“I’m Jeff. It’s nice to meet you.”

“I-I’m N-Natasha.”

“What do you want?” asked the zombie boy. He stood in front of Natasha. He glared at Jeff. Ryan got up from his seat on the carriage, but Jake put his hand in front of him. He looked at Ryan and told him to sit down. Ryan complied with his request.

“I’m not trying to hurt her. I was just trying to greet her.” Jeff claimed. The zombie boy wasn’t going to back down. The mummy girl peeked at Jeff from behind the zombie boy. Jeff sighed. “That’s fine. Let’s leave.” He told Jake and Ryan. Jeff got back on the carriage and they continued.

Once out of earshot of the two monsters Jake asked a question. “Why didn’t you leave them supplies?”

Jeff stared into space. He turned back in. “I don’t know,” he responded. “I forgot about it.” His words don't extinguish the suspicion that grew within Jake. His demeanor completely switched up. Worried about the sudden change, Jake rushed the horses hoping that the king could help him.

…

A teen wielding a scythe followed a bearded man wielding an axe. The kid with the scythe shed a tear as he looked down on the floor. The man in front of him turned around and shouted at him. “If you don’t hurry up then I’ll leave you behind.” The kid hurried
