He nods, "You're my drudg, my food source. You shouln't be kissing me. You do not
really like me; you're just...confused."
I shook my head, serious. I was hurt, "I knew and
liked you for a whole hour before I became your drudg, Vlad If you really
don't want me to kiss you, why don't you just order me not to?"
He didn't answer for a long time. I was getting nervous that he wouldn't. Then he said in a soft fierce tone, "I'd really appreciate
it if you didn't do that again, okay? Not...not yet. I'm just...I'm not ready."
I nodded slowly, thankful he didn't order me not to kiss him ever
again.
Then he left.
Not even a goodbye, I thought. Huh, oh well I'll see him again soon, I hoped.
As I walked through the door again, I saw October run toward me and hear her say, "So? Give me all the deets, girl!"
I say a little sad, "I kissed him...and he pushed me away."
She gasped, "He didn't?"
I nod. "He did."
Then I walk out the door and go home.
Chapter 4
Depression
The next few days I stayed in my room except to go to school. I didn't go to The Crypt or hang out with my friends. Nothing.
I was in a depression.
I didn't eat. I couldn't sleep, because all I could think about is Vlad, and why he won't kiss me.
At school the next day, I went through most of my classes and lunch without talking to anyone. But after 7th period English my teacher, My Gilbert, asked to see me.
I walked over to his desk and ask, "You wanted to see me, Mr Gilbert?" My family has been friends with the Gilbert's since before I was born. Mr Gilbert's first name is Jason, but it feels wierd to call him that at school.
"Yeah. Snow is everything alright? You've been out of it for the past few days. You're one of my best students. But now you have not turned in one of the assignments I've given this week. Is everythingokay at home, with your friends?" he asked.
I say, "Yeah, everything's fine, Jason." Then I walk out of the room, before he could say anything else.
