“be” baby Bob. He has his own soul, as least I hope I’m not the only one and maybe I’m here to help him develop his in the right direction. Maybe that’s what reincarnation or being recycled is all about. Unfortunately, I don’t remember getting these messages when I was young. Sure I developed a conscience and tried to live with it. Maybe it was other souls that were resting in my mind, exerting their direction when I strayed or thought of straying. Could be! How will we know? We were always told our conscience was a little voice in our heads that told us right from wrong, right? So maybe that is ours, or my destiny. Use the lifetime experiences that we have experienced to make it better for others. Baby Bob first and others later? Glory Halleluiah! I’ve now entered the monastery and now work in the cathedral of baby Bob.
Maybe there really is a heaven and eventually I will get there if I do a good job with Bob. Maybe I can make him a better person than I was able to achieve; maybe there are other voices that I cannot hear that have a similar goal. Maybe their goals are not a lofty as mine. Maybe like the cartoons, the devil on one shoulder and me, the angel (?), on the other. The compartmentalization of his brain and its soul-buckets may not really know others exist. I will have to be cautious. A new adventure awaits, full of intrigue and cunning. How do I win a war that I do not even know exists? I guess I’ll see some indication as he grows. I must be ever vigilant. As Jiminy, do I let him make some mistakes so he can learn from them? Grow his donkey ears and tail. How much do I protect him? How much can I protect him? God, I hope I can get him interested in reading so I can pick out a few good books. I need a lot of help on this one. Will Mom and Dad be pleased when he starts reading physiology at a tender age? Sure, I’ll let him read anything he wants, but I need to learn too. It’s for his own good, right?
A lifetime of learning and teaching stands before me. Actually he is just learning to sit and scoot around. I’ve got to get busy. Without paper or pen, I’ve got to formulate all this in my head, our heads. I better start now. Who knows when I’ll be called on to help? I‘ve got to work out the details of the interface between us. Maximize the contact so he really, really knows right from wrong. God, he’s headed for the dog’s bowl again. Got to get him to not eat that stuff any more!
Time is wasting. I’m called to action.
Jiminy to the rescue!
