It was total chaos everywhere and people were rushing behind the float to change into costumes. No one seemed to notice when I walked over to the rack and quickly selected a Grecian toga looking costume and head wreath. I went behind the float to change and took off my jeans and burgundy shirt. Then I walked back to the motorcycle and stuffed my clothes in the saddle bag. These goons would be looking for a girl with a burgundy shirt on a motorcycle.
I wasn’t sure how to get ahold of Dimitri, so I called the only other person I knew in Greece. I called Kosta, but he didn’t answer. I considered taking a cab back, but I wasn’t sure exactly where the pack house was located or if I had enough money for a long cab ride. I was running out of options; Alec had mentioned something about visiting The Adonis. I looked down at my phone and searched the location of The Adonis. It was located at the edge of the Monastraki District, not too far from here.
I kept my head down and walked through crowds of people trying to blend in. Fortunately, most of the people were dressed the same as me. I looked up to make sure I wasn’t being followed and something caught my eye in one of the balconies. A young woman was bent over the edge with her dress lifted, there was a man standing behind her thrusting away. They were having sex!
“Debauchery indeed.” Rae snickered.
I was so distracted by that interesting performance, that I didn’t notice a man grab my arm and pull me to him.
“A Greek Goddess!” He said out loud. “Such beautiful blue eyes like the Goddess of wisdom and war, Athena.”
“Excuse me, I’m looking for my friends.” I said and pushed away.
“Not so fast my Queen, take a drink with you and when you find your friends, please come back and join us.” He smiled, clearly having had too much to drink already.
I saw a motorcycled goon from the corner of my eye and ducked for cover, right into this strangers arms and hugged him. I pulled back and smiled at him before I took the large plastic wine goblet he handed me. “Thank you, good sir. I shall return when I find my friends.” I lied.
“Don’t drink that.” Rae said to me.
“I’m not, it’s more of an accessory.” I told her and continued walking right by another couple kissing and dry humping against a light post. Everyone seemed to be uninhibited tonight and enjoying themselves. I wondered if Dimitri was doing the same.
I caught the scent of a wolf, one was near me. The good thing about having so many people around was that it made it hard to pinpoint a scent. As long as I stayed close to large groups of people, I would be hard to detect. I was about one more block away from my destination and saw a large man with a mate mark on his neck. He was obviously a wolf and I tried to avoid him by standing next to a gyro stand. The scent of roasting meat might help mask mine. He continued walking and towering over the crowd in search of something or someone.
I walked quickly to the Adonis and there was a long line outside. I wasn’t sure if I should stand in line or if I even had enough money to pay for the entrance fee. This place looked upscale and expensive. I didn’t even know if Dimitri was actually here or not.
I walked around to the back of the building and noticed the back door was cracked slightly open. I tip toed in the shadows and saw no one. I peeked in the door and noticed it was the back of a bar room. I slipped in and slowly moved towards the door on the other side of the room.
The bar tenders were busy, and no one seemed to notice when I slipped out and into the hallway with restrooms and showers. Showers? What kind of place was this that it had showers?
This was some kind of performing arts theater, I saw the stairs that led to the top level and figured I’d have a better chance of finding Dimitri from up there. I quickly went up the stairs and found myself in a small balcony. I stood for a moment and looked down at the stage. My mouth fell open in shock. Nearly two dozen naked people were on stage engaged in sex.
I dropped to my knees to hide in the balcony. The thought of Dimitri actually being here made me angry and jealous. I crawled to the edge of the balcony to look out, my eyes were glued to the action on the stage. Did orgies regularly happen here or was this a special event for the Dionysus festival?
There was a busty woman taking two men, one underneath her and one behind her. Two naked women were laying on a stack of pillows kissing and caressing each other. A half naked woman was perched over a man’s face as he pleasured her. Another man was sitting in a cushioned chair, with his head thrown back, while a naked woman kneeled before him pleasuring him. His head moved and that’s when I saw him. That wasn’t just any man, THAT WAS ALEC!
“What kind of world have we been living in?” Rae whispered to me.
My eyes were wide open. I scanned the rest of
