with gentle, tender parts,
Slowly it unfolds
and develops in your heart.
Its beauty can't be tamed,
It's as wild as the wind.
Words can never explain
the feelings held within.
You could be cut by a thorn
and your heart would tend to bleed,
Sometimes it will be torn,
But inside is always a new seed.
There will always be a change,
And yet it grows and grows,
Although it may seem strange,
Love is like a rose

The Essence Of A Rainbow
If I would choose your life, so rare
To reveal to all, to lay it bare
The colours of the rainbow would I dare
Use to describe a woman, so fair
Purple, of course, would be the first
And in my mind an explosion would burst
About your passion, for which I thirst
Inspiring thought and song and verse
Blue would follow as the second hue
To describe your eyes, intense and blue
And are often the first I notice of you
They have soothed my soul a time or two(and they still do)
Green is third as you would guess
To describe your life, new and fresh
The change has brought out your very best
Each time I see you, I know I'm blessed
Yellow is next and it must be
About your countenance, a wonder to see
The face of an angel was given to thee
To hold the gaze of a man, that's me
Now it's Orange as the colours go
The sweetness you have for all to know
With just a touch of sassy glow
where from a glance or wink you show
And then there's Red, which is your love
Sent to me from Heaven above
As pure and soft as a snow-white dove
It surrounds me like a white silk glove
One colour left for the rest of thee
The pot of Gold at the end, you see
In which I find your love for me
Safe and secure... may it always be!

Imagine
Imagine an Eagle, soaring high,
with the wind beneath its wings.
Imagine it carrying just you and I,
to a land where the Nightingale sings.
Imagine a river flowing quite free,
unaware of where it's flowing to.
Imagine an Island with just you and me,
surrounded by an ocean, under a sky of blue.
Imagine the sea crashing onto the shore,
Frothing, foaming and splashing in rage.
Imagine climbing the world's highest peak
And standing there and shouting our names.
Imagine being together, not in a dream,
holding and touching and being lovers.
Imagine what bliss that notion would bring,
together in love... and alone with each other

The Angie Flower
If life is a field of satin flowers, you've been there from the start,
planted in the middle, you're the flower with the biggest heart.
The angels planted you, long ago, your water- their joyous tears,
your leaves spread wide and full of love, your nectar, destroying fears.
The angels named the flower, "Angie," its love felt all around,
so beautiful her silk red petals, her inner beauty, so profound.
Then one day a tree was planted, it was crooked and blocked the sun.
a lonely tree, it refused to grow, it forgot that life was fun.
The Angie flower needed sun, she needed the rain to fall,
but she moved closer to the tree, even though he blocked it all.
She talked and rubbed her silk red petals along the crooked tree,
she showed him ways of growing straighter for all the world to see.
She fed the tree with her own nectar and the tree began to creak,
his limbs grew strong, his trunk now formed a mouth with which to speak.
The tears of joy fell from the tree and watered the Angie flower,
he lifted her up to greet the sun with all his love-felt power.
He held the flower up too long and her roots began to sprout,
they formed inside the happy tree, their love now felt throughout.
The tree thanked GOD every day that he grew by the Angie flower,
now he can do anything, her beauty gives him power.
Myself, I know this tale is true and I'd like the world to see,
that I'm holding up the Angie flower, because that tree is me.
I love you Angie...

Thinking by the window
He sits by herself, looking out
...And sees the sky of blue,
The leaves that the breeze blowing out
His thoughts go as usual to you
He wishes he could change many things,
He wonders what else he can do
he wishes he could make her happy
he hopes her dreams will come true
he hopes he will meet her desires
he wonders what all years to come may bring
he knows he is not a hero
But for her he could do everything
he sits by himself, looking out
He knows that his feelings are true
He hears the rain as it starts coming down...
His thoughts go as ever to you

It's Christmas
It's the glitter on the Christmas tree.
It's the bubbles in champagne.
It's choosing Christmas presents.
It's carol singers in the lane.
It's the sound of Christmas church bells.
It's the way the pudding steams.
It's the colour of the streamers.
It's Bing's White Christmas dreams.
It's the smile on children's facesas they open every present.
It's the taste of Christmas dinner, crayfish, turkey, ham and pheasant.
It's reflected in the special wayeach Christmas candle glows.
Its presents looking gorgeous,in their paper and their bows.
It's the fun of Christmas parties.
It's the taste of ice cold beer.
It's sharing time with familyand others we hold dear.
It's a time for reminiscingof celebrations past.
It's hoping that this special timewill not pass by too fast.
It's thinking of our friendshipand knowing that it's truethat the spirit that is Christmasis remarkably like you.

An old man's dream
Last night I dreamed of you again and heard you call to me,
And I went back in memory to the way things used to be...
Your eyes were full of caring and tender as your smile,
For we were young again, my love-
for just a little while.
You reached across and touched my face, the way you used to do,
Then in my dream you whispered, "Ma Cushla, I love you."
And I stood tall, my head held high, unbent from years of toil,
For we were young again, my love-
for just a little while.
When I awoke, alone and old, I left you in my dream,
Where you stay young and beautiful, in a world forever green.
Just dreams of you are all that's left - to ease life's final mile,
To see your face, to feel your touch...
for just a little while.

Rerun of a dream
Here I sit in the winter
drinking cocoa and cream
I'm watching old reruns
of a nice summer dream
A day spent with you
on a beach by the bay
We walked in the sun
on a nice summer day
Searching for sea shells
there were few to be found
Two people in love
and no one around
Hand in hand we walked on
at the edge of the bay
The sand in our toes
on a nice summer day
Our occasional kisses
would leave me all numb
We knew then, for certain
of the love yet to come
Here I sit in the winter
living over that day
You and I on the beach
on a nice summer day
We opened our hearts
we found love as a team
Don't you love those old reruns
of a nice summer dream?

Two candles
Two lonely flames came into one
on cold and lonesome night.
Two burdened souls that looked for warmth,
that longed to feel alright
Both knew it wasn't meant to be
both knew it wasn't love
It was that longing of their soul
that brought the other half.
lLke candle, passion was inflamed,
like candle, danced all night
like candle, it burned out whole
like candle, later died
Two lonely flames came into one
and then they parted ways
They had some warmth, for one short night
And went their lonesome ways

The corner of my heart
There is this corner of my heart
that's been reserved for you
it will always be just yours
I think you know it too
It is a place where you'll be safe
and who knows what's in store
A place where we can laugh and love
a place no one has been before
The secret place where we have met
for quite a while... right?
Where I can love you all the time
morning, noon and night

When Jesus came into my life
When Jesus came into my life,
He made all things new;
I may not always understand,
but His word is always true.
He touched my heart, renewed my soul
And gave me a new life...
no longer do have to live
in vanity and strife
Sometimes the things can hurt,
and cut me like a knife...
but the Lord can heal my soul,
He can give me a new life
I thought it was it,
no hope future brigs...
The Lord says
