I have come to notice that most people use poetry as a way to let their emotions flow, a way to shield them from the outside world. Well that’s not quite what poetry is all about, yes you may use it for your own painful emotions, and yes let yourself craft those words into something beautiful. However not all poems are so deep and dark. I myself write deep and dark poems, poems I don’t I would let people read because they sound insane, something that sounds nothing like me. But I have decided

See the horrid stains that mark the patchwork of human civilization? In these poems I have poured my disgust and my disdain of the corruption and filth which exists in our society.

Just me using a light poem about coffee to experiment with some alternative rhyme structures. Comment if you'd like, and heart if you will, but above all, enjoy! That's what I do it for. (alright, that's a lie. But that's the human condition, isn't it?)

To a good friend..and you know who you are

Poetry which reflects the souls eternal struggle between living through darkness(despair) and finding the light.(hope)

This is acually a song, but if you don't sing it, it could be a poem. My definition of the word "song" happens to be, "A song is a poem that is put to music." I'm thinking on entering it in the poetry contese. Tell me what you think!
