I had a bet and I had to choose the worst girl at this school and I have to go out with her for one week and therefore…”

“What?”, I am very calm right know.

He knows that it’s the peace before the storm. And this peace seems to be disturbing.

I take a deep breath again and say syrupy: “How nice that you choose me. I feel honoured indeed. You know what? I always knew that you couldn’t deal with strong women. You just can’t. You need to take damn control of everything. And with everything I mean everything. The colours of your Boxer, your friends, your socks, even your toothbrush, right?

How could a woman ever be together with you? I wasn’t and I won’t be a doll that you can wrap around your finger like a nice decoration. Get out of my life, I never want to see you again, you lousy pig.”

I turn around and go ahead, pull my coat closer and get out of here.

It starts to rain and I rush as I think that nobody can see me.

I run into the woods.

Cry.

Run.

Run.

Run.

Gasp.

And then I roll one ankle and fall to the ground.

With a broken heart I bowed down, the icy cold rain pours down and it washes away my tears.

I stop thinking.

And curled up in a ball on the cold muddy ground I fall asleep.

I close with numb fingers the front door of our house.

My parents aren’t here. Not at home.

That’s good, because I’m going to make a change and I don’t want to have any people around me. **

I fell.

I don’t mean falling from a bridge or something like that, but my behaviour and my attitude got worse.

My life was no longer interesting. Partly I was about to jump out of the window, but my sister rescued me. She was also the only one who knew every tiny little thing.

First it was okay.

My sister told me that Logan told everyone that he slept with me.

My parents believed that I hadn’t done that, but then I started to take drugs, my “friends” told me to do that.

I was so confused, that’s why I really took some, and my parents discovered the drugs.

After that Mum and Dad didn’t believe me at all. We argued all day and night until it was too much; I took my money and ran away, with a target in my mind.

I wanted to start again, in London, a new life.

As a bodyguard.

Without drugs, without bad friends.

I built everything that I needed up.

Here I am.
