03 Feb: Yogemdra Yadav, A revelation
Till today I was thinking that Sanjay Jha was the best in the art of DD ie Dodge & Dflect. But now I understand that Kumar Biswas, Ashish Kaitan & Yogendra Yadav can beat Sanjay Jha hollow and Yogendra Yadav is best in the lot.
When we ask the source of 2 crores he is asking Supreme Court to create an SIT! Never heard some one dodging & deflecting a question so blatantly.
04 Feb : Pillachante Phalithangal
I never thought Balakrishna Pillai is such a good humorist..In his press conference on TV today he came out with two gems of sarcastic humour . When he was talking about the fiasco in the opening ceremony of the National games he really excelled in sarcasm as he referred o the Sports Minister Mr Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan
First he said "Our Sports Minister "Abhivandyanaya Thiruvanchoor Radakrishnan,, hai 'Abhivandynaya' ennu pratheykam ezhuthanam Ketto"
Second "You know our minister knows about sports much more than Jiji Thomson who was the Chairman of SAI, Iddeham prasavichu venathe sportisila ok"
Thank God ! He didn't say that the minister was a 'garbhasreeman' in sports. Hats off to Pillaachan for his timely wits full of sarcasm .
06 Feb : Overheard during Morning Walk
"are yar ! Yar what is catch 22 ? "
" I tell you Sir, nan sollren! Sir That is what Oommen Chandy is in now. He has a cheque of 1.68 crores from Mohan Lal. He is in a fix as to what to do with the cheque. if he accepts he will be blamed, if he rejects then also he will be blamed. That is called catch 22! purinchita Sir "
" Why 22, Why not Catch 100 easy to remember?"
" Don't ask me ok, Go & ask Joseph Heller "
06 Frb : Mamta Banerjea
Mamata Banerjee is the latest in the list of opposition party leaders who have pledged support to AAP. Kudos to AAP for mustering support from Prakash Karat, D Raja and Nitish Kumar and now Mamata Banerjee. But the common man like me feels pty in the pathetic situation of CPM, CPI, JDU & TMC wherein they find it impossible to get one of their candidates elected from the capital of this country and they have to support a party that had won only 4 y seats in Loksabha.. It is more pitiable considering the fact that all these parties never approved the existence of AAP or supported it any state during the Loksabha Poll.. Now fearing decimation in their respective states they want to puncture the BJP where ever possible! Pray that late AK Gopalan, Ram Manohar Lohia and Jayaprakash Narayan would forgive them !
06 Feb: Fact of the matter.
AAP rejects the support offered by Delhi Imam i apprecitae the Guts! But the question is simpleDoesn't the absolute rejection of an offer of support from the Head of a Community tantamount to belittling of the members of that community in toto.
Please do not grudge if some one like me describes this act of AAP as the height of political arrogance or as the depth of political foolhardiness!
11 Feb : Tsunami
This is Tsnamii , no doubut ! The BJP & Congress totally decimated!. No election Pundit could predict such a devastation, not even Kejrival himself ! hats off to AAP Delhites have brought out a fantastic PPT presentation on electioneering in just 10 hrs on 07 Feb which the masters of politics with years of experience from both BJP and Congress should watch if they want too better in future. Since FB doesn't allow to post PPT i make an endeavour to present you the lessons to be learnt from this unique election in my own way! Election is nothing but PERCEPTION! Perception of the Common man, You cannot fight against this. In May 2014 Delhi voted BJP giving 46 % votes .Dehites peceived that BJP will fulfill their aspirations. May to Jan BJP failed in giving any positive sign that their aspirations will be fulfilled instead they created an impression among the common men that they are against the down trodden .Foremost was that Modi's unfulfilled promise that 15 lakhs will be credited in every ones account. So lets see the lessons learnt
1. Election in India is all about Perceptions.
2. Perception can change in no time like monsoons
3. Read the changes in perceptions as it happens. BJP & Congress did not read the changes in perception during the period May 14- Jan 15
4. Connectivity with the voters is most important . Mega Rallies and flex boards often fail to win votes. Gone are the days when victory is bench marked against the length & breadth and the no of the rallies and nos and spread of print ads
5. A Rs 500 muffler will get more votes than a Rs One lakh suit..
6. People hate glass house politics , BJP & Congress leaders thought they will be heard,: forgot that they are in glass houses.
7..Mani Shankar Iyer can make a PM with a single word 'chaiwala' . Not every one is an Iyer!, that is why' Bhagoda' failed.
8..Peoples' memory is short. They forget achievements and aberrations very fast. Example, error of judgement after 49 days forgotten.
9..Learn the art of apologizing. Timing is most important!
10. Never fight an election with out a manifesto. Common man shouldn't be left in darkness till the last moment, he doesn't understand vision docu.
11. Less known soldiers who know the ground realities are better assets than generals parachuted in the last moment.
12. Never fix a time frame for any promise! You have 5 years, 100 days is is too short a short!
13..Spell out your preferred position on controversial issues. Continued silence is dangerous
14. Polarisation of votes in terms of religion , caste or creed has lost its relevance!
15. People are more interested in Roti, Kapada, Makan and basic amenities like drinking water and electricity, not the international security problems.
16.Most important there is something called Credibility & Character of the contestants.which really matters.
17. Name calling and belittling the opponents in public will alienate you from the masses.
18. It is not enough that you are working towards welfare of the people, but should be felt by the people too.
Lastly, for the time being, no party can win an election by flogging a dead horse as the leader ,. Also, no party can win an election just by basking on past gloryYou have to win the election by astute planning and by meticulous execution No one will give you victory in a platter!
12 Feb: Lalisom Defenition
The art of courting unwanted controversy by doing something that you are not an expert, especially singing!
12 Feb : Overheard during morning walk
"70 congress men stood for the election in Delhi. they are still standing, why?"
"They didn't get a seat"
16 Feb : Oerheard during morning walk
" Have you ever heard of a CM without any portfolio? Instead he wiil make overseeing ' Systemic Change'his job!, choosing the role of a watch dog!"
" Nice, that means he will get a sit rep at 23.59 every night from all ministers for him to oversee? "
"Yeh A sample report: "Minor girl fell down from auto at Trilokpuri, Gas leak causes panic in Sarojini Nagar, Power off for 2 hours in Chandni Chowk, centre blamed ! Pro AAP rally in Sadar interrupted by goons. Acute water shortage in Muneerka, Weather: cloudy Max Temp 32 Min Temp 17 .
Baki sab theek hai Sreeman"!

27 Feb : News of the day

27 Feb : Morning walk is quite expensive
My friend asked me
