Zake was born with the Death Element, an element that many see as belonging to demons and monsters. As so, he is forced out of his hometown and takes refuge in the Death Forest. There, he slowly begins to build his own kingdom, though he quickly faces a problem in nearby city Northport who is hellbent on destroying Zake and his kingdom. However, he refuses to let them win. TALES OF DARKNESS is a horror collection under the larger JAYHAWK MONSTER CONNECTED UNIVERSE (The Follower & Hangman). Each volume will contain six installments, some sequels to previous works in the collections and others as one-shots.

The first season of Enlighten follows Eden, the "Untalented Child" of the family, as he goes from worthless child to strongest man in the world. Four short-story-length episodes will traverse the beginning of his story and watch as Eden begins his journey as the new Enlighten, the strongest being and heir to the world, and sees him pitted against assassins, slave traders, and jealous nobles wanting to see his demise.
A third party group observes as people are put into scenarios labeled 'experiments' and watch as the people being experimented on are twisted by their scenarios.
