Poetry is not something to turn down as a waste of time. Poetry is a window to the soul of the person who writes and to the people it refers.
Hunger itself is a pain on the body and in the mind of man. Some relate hunger to a fire from within that devours the body in which it dwells. This fire is different, and so is the body. The flame named Ada and the boy called Tak. When your hunger is something that can't be fed... What will you do to ease the pain?
I could feel my heart die along with the man who rode me through hell cheering me on. But, i kept running home. I had to stay alive to protect my kin, my human brother who I loved more than myself. There was no way anyone, this war, or an individual was going to harm him.
