14 year old Karma loves the thrill of breaking rules. When she finds a sachel of stolen treasures, she meets the ultimate rule breaker, Dahlia. I wrote this during class when I was twelve. We were learning about the genocides in Rwanda and the Holocaust. I thought it might be good to put it up here.
Field of Blackbirds is a completed, 120,000 word, historical fiction, primarily set in the Balkan region of Yugoslavia. During a time of ethnic cleansing and genocide, four young men, hemispheres apart, set out for one common purpose; to find God’s mercy. Eventually, wearing different uniforms, their values, ideas and misconceptions collide during the Kosovo Crisis, in 1992.
