How can there be pain in a place where there is so much joy? A loving relationship is the most awesome experience in the world. This is why it also holds the potential for so much sadness. There are so many things that can go wrong. We must remember, "Better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all." If we have this attitude we can hold ourselves together during the hard times and rejoice that we have this awesome gift during the good times.
With a life lived sheltered from boys, it is not hard to figure why Kayla Washington is single. Being the good girl who doesn't get in trouble, plays sports and is musically talented causes rumors to circulate of her being friendly yet stuck up, of her thinking no one good enough for her to date and by her father's standards that is right. This is my first ever poetry collection, inclusive of poems I haven’t yet released separately to Bookrix, so it probably won’t be as elaborate as some of my individual works, the little there is of those. It comprises six of my most strongly tied works. The first poem in this collection is “The Roaring Warden”, an early poem I wrote that revolves around a dysfunctional mother-daughter relationship.
