was named Ulysses shuddered nervously under the pressure of Kella and Isa’s forceful hold of him against the craps table and began to choke out, “I haven’t the slightest clue where he’s run off to. He’s probably have way across the city by now. And even if I did, I still wouldn’t tell any of you.” “Trish, would you kindly do the honors of properly disposing of this commode?” Kella said, nodding to me. “With pleasure.” I replied, removing my black Kimber 1911 pistol from my holster and firing two purposefully misplaced rounds so close to his head that he let out a frightened scream and nearly turned gray from fear right then and there. “I never miss.” I told him with a sinister grin. “And trust me, the next two won’t. So, I strongly suggest that you either get to talking or have your head look like a hock of Swiss cheese right here and now on this table. Which will it be?” “Looking for little old me?” A husky voice suddenly said from behind. Every head in the room then turned to look as our guest of honor himself, Chance Ocean strolled in from behind and began to slowly make his way over to the craps area, stopping just short of one of the nearby columns. He drew his two tone Sig Sauer pistol and there was a loud grunt of pain to my left and another to my right before I turned to see Kella clutching a spot on her left leg, just below her knee that I could see just between the spacing of her fingers was beginning to turn crimson with blood. “NO!” She screamed in between her panting and pain filled winces. “You conniving sonuva bitch!” I turned to my right and felt deeply sick to my stomach when I noticed Isa lying flat out on her back, bleeding heavily from a single gunshot wound to her forehead. He unleashed yet another round into her noggin and was just about to do the same to Kella when I lunged forward at the tiger so fast and so hard that the gun he was holding flew rapidly out of his right paw and clattered hard to the floor. With each and every ounce of strength I had, I wailed on his face with a series of one two punch combinations as the whole casino around me soon began to erupt into absolute chaos. I drew my right fist back and was just about to strike him again when a hard uppercut to my chin knocked me off and sent me hurdling back a few inches into the craps table where I steadied myself and climbed quickly to my feet just as he charged forward and attempted a tackle. I got behind him after dodging and slammed his face hard against the edge with full force until the table shattered into a mess of broken wood and cards scattered all over the floor. I turned him over and gave one more hard punch to his bloodied red face before drawing my Kimber and pressing the barrel directly up against his temple. He began to laugh maniacally before finally composing himself after a few seconds and saying, “I know you… You… You were that little hoodrat girl. Weren’t you? You had it all at first glance then. But now, oh, now I see you here with these… these mongrels. And for what? You’re not like them. No. You and me, we’re both one in the same.” “You’re nothing.” I answered simply before pulling the trigger on my weapon, enjoying the satisfying feeling of his warm blood landing square on the right side of my muzzle as his body went limp and he was soon to breathe no more. After just about every Wild One in the casino had been laid to rest, I turned to Kella who had now had the bleeding stopped on her leg by Kari and Fang and was now attempting to stand upright on her feet before I held out my paw and stopped her. “Not yet.” I said. “We need to get the round out first and then get you some antiseptic to heal you up. Come on. I know a place.” I scooped her up in my arms and carried her out to her car where we began to make the hurried journey to the home of nurse, Yumi Dove.
