But global warming will have additional, far-reaching effects on the planet. Warming modifies rainfall patterns, amplifies coastal erosion, lengthens the growing season in some regions, melts ice caps and glaciers, and alters the ranges of some infectious diseases. But as her birthday nears she notices more differences and she'll find out a few things that may cause her such difficulty if she refuses to acknowledge them and especially is her new life is just starting. Sam isn't safe and no one close to her is telling her what she needs to know.
