Chapter 1
The Magical Book

Once there was an old man, sitting on his porch. He over heard a kid saying,
“I wish I had a good book to read.”
The old man said, “I have a magical book for you. It will give you power beyond your imagination.”
“How can I get it from you?”
“First you need to go to the City of Darkness and get their only light. Next, you must go to the Town of Daylight and receive the two darkest things. Then come back to me.” said the old man.
“I will do as you say.”
Then the young boy set off on his journey.

Chapter 2
The City of Darkness

The boy had to climb mountains and walk in the desert to get there. Finally, he got to The City of Darkness. It was so dark that he couldn’t see a foot in the City. He looked up and squinted his eyes and saw a light. A small light. He walked forward.
“OWWWWWWW” He stubbed his toe on steps, stone steps, sharp steps. He was closer to the light then he thought. He reached out to grab the light but something blocked him.
“What do you want with this light?” said a heavy voice.
The boy reasoned “I…..I need…it …to…get…….a book.”
“That’s it. O.K. Here is the light.” It was a candle.
“Thank you” said the boy.
“By the way my name is Frank,” said Frank.
The boy said confused, “My name is Nieko, bye.”
“Come and visit.” yelled Frank as Nieko left.
The town of daylight was right next to the City of Darkness. So he walked over.

Chapter 3
The Town of Daylight

It was so bright that he had to put on three sunglasses and tape them together to see.
The road was lined up with shops.
An old lady shouted, “Get your black things here.”
He ran over with all his might. Out of breath he said “I need the two darkest things you have.”
The old lady stared and said “To get the two darkest things you must get on a horse and knock your opponent off the other horse to get the two darkest things.”
“O.K.” said the boy.
“Ha ha ha ha.” The old lady was laughing. “Your opponent is Big Bad Bobbb!!! Good Luck.” said the lady.
“What about my horse?!”
“Oh, your horse. It is over there.” The old lady was pointing at a small mule.
“NOT FAIR!!!” yelled Nieko angrily. The old lady did not pay attention to him.
“Man your horses. Ready set go!” yelled the old lady. Nieko started to go but stopped, Big Bad Bob on the other side just fell off on purpose.
The old lady stood and said “The winner is ……….what is your name?”
“Nieko,” whispered Nieko.
“Nieko!!!!!!!!!!” The crowd cheered.
The old lady grabbed him before he could say bye to everyone. “Here are the two darkest things, a bead and a cup. Now leave and never come back.” yelled the old lady angrily.
He wondered what would be in the book he was going to read.

Chapter 4
The Mountain of Death

When he got to the old man’s house he was so tired because he was awake for 98 hours straight. When he gave the old man the light, cup, and bead the old man handed them back.
“WHAT?” shouted the boy “AFTER ALL I HAVE B…...”
The old man stopped him from talking and said, “To get the book you need to go to the Mountain of Death and drop the cup, candle, and bead in the lava and then the book will fly out”
“O.K.”
“But,” said the old man continuing his sentence, “you need to put them together a certain way and when you do they will not come apart.” So the boy started putting the 3 items together. First, he put them all next to each other but that did not work. So he put them all in the cup. Only the cup and candle stayed together
But where does the bead go. Then he saw a dent in the candle. He put the bead on the dent and it fit perfectly. He showed the old man and the old man said “Now go to The Mountain of Death and drop the items in the lava and the book will come out of the lava.”
“Bye,” yelled the boy. The Mountain of Death was 100 miles away from the old man’s house but the boy got there in 5 seconds. “Wow, I am fast.” He had to rock climb without a rope to get to the top of The Mountain of Death.
When he got to the top he said worriedly “I hope this works.” He dropped the light, cup, and bead into the lava.

Chapter 5
A Lesson Learned

“A BOOK,” yelled the boy and without thinking jumped to grab the book but he didn’t fall he was flying. He grabbed the book and landed on the old man’s house.
The old man ran out and yelled to the boy “Are you okay?”
“Yes!” yelled back the boy as he jumped off of the roof. “But how did I have all of these powers before I read the book.” asked the boy.
The man answered “Reading is power to everyone who loves to read.” The boy never forgot that for the rest of his life.
