Chapter 12
The Airport
Back at the helicopter, the two hostages are starting to feel uneasy because they are getting close to the airport. Which airline carrier are you using for the flight? We are using Delta. That is an excellence choice.
We should be arriving at the airport in about twenty minutes.
Jestan took her phone out and redialed the number that her son called her from the airport. Hey mom. Be quiet son. Now listen to me. Shannese on the helicopter gets up and comes over to the one in a cast and smashes her phone into pieces as she was saying I need you to call. Hey what was that all about? I was calling my son. That maybe, but I just can’t take any more chances. Oh I see what you mean.
How are you doing back there boy? For your information my name is Justin, and second I will let you know that I’m doing just fine. That is what I like to hear.
Well were here. Were not at the airport. No we are not at the airport because there is no room to land this at the airport. So will just take a few minute cab ride and then we will be there. Oh I see
Well we better start getting a move on. We don’t have much time left before the plane is suppose to take off. When we get in I will need to find my son before we check in. Well fair enough.
Now get out and get us a taxi or I will shoot you. Yes mam. Taxi oh taxi. Well I see you got a taxi. Yes I did indeed. Now get a move on or else there will be trouble.
As the taxi is taking them to the airport, the crew for the plane that will be on the flight is starting to board.
A few minutes later they pull up to the airport in the taxi. That will be fifteen. Here is fifteen dollars you old cabby man. What did you say? I said here is your fifteen dollars nice old man. Are you calling me old? Yes I am but I’m calling you a nice old man. Well in that case I don’t have to beat you up. That is what I like to hear. Well we got to go and catch a flight. Well sorry for taking up some of your time. That is okay.
Well now it is time for me to find my son so we can get checked in already.
When she walked in she immediately saw her son seating there waiting. Mangello I have arrived for you. Mom I’m so glad you’re here.
Who is that woman with you? I will explain later. It is always explain later with you. Not now son when have to check in so we can board the plane. This aint over by a long shot.
Right now it is time to check in or otherwise your stuff won’t have time to get on the plane. They say that you need to check in no later than thirty minutes prior to the plane leaving so your luggage has time to be put on the plane.
Enough chitter chatter and more moving toward the check in counter. Yes I need three seats for the flight heading to Atlanta. It would be best if we could get them together. Okay here you go. Before you leave I need to see your passport. Okay here you go. Thanks a lot. Here is your passport. Now I need 240 dollars for the price of the tickets. Here is my credit card. Well okay it went through. I just need your signature and you guys can go. There you go. Have a nice flight. I will try and make it a nice flight.
How may I help? I have a reservation. What is the name? The name is Mangello Sea. Ahhhh yes I see it right here. That will be 80 dollars. Here is my card. It went through. I just need your signature. Thank you sir. Now let me take that bag for you. Now that is done I need to see your passport. No problem. I got it right here. Well you’re all set to go. Here is your ticket. Thank you. Have a nice flight. I will.
I just love the way she talks. Oh you do do you. I really do.
Well for your information we need to get going. Oh right. Time to go through security.
When they got to the security place someone came up and started talking to Shannese. Why do you have a gun? I’m a cop. Here is my badge. Why are you here with these three people? I’m escorting them to their flight. Is that a problem? No it is not. Just wondering what you were doing. Well you may pass. Why thank you officer. See you guys at the gate.
This day just keeps getting weirder and weirder. I have a feeling that something is going to happened on the plane. Why do you think that is so Mangello? Well I just feel vibe that something wrong might be happening soon. Let’s just hope that doesn’t happen okay.
Why does security sometimes have to be slow? I don’t know but I wish it would hurry. We don’t have much time left to get to the plane.
Chapter 13
The Brave and Scary Flight
Well come on guys we got to get to that plane before it’s too late.
It looks like we made it just in time. well well well. It looks like yall made it just in time. I know. We have been having a lot of close calls over the past few days. Well I just need to see your passport and ticket, and then you will be set to go.
What is your name? My name is Idontknowwhy attendant. That name just sounds so strange to me. Well you better get a move on.
Hello and welcome to Delta airlines to Atlanta. I’m your captain Kevin Davis. Also with me is your co-pilot Just Zicky. It is going to be a bumpy ride today because we got a lot of wind. So sit back and maybe it won’t get to bad.
It’s going to take roughly eight to eight and a half hours to get there. Also on board this plane we have three flight attendant. Two of them are attendants and the other one is a waiter/chief/attendant. Their names are Scott the Person, Shaylin the Brave, and Taylor Perry the multitasker. Shaylin will tell the story of how that became her last name when were about thirty minutes from landing.
In the meantime while were waiting you can go ahead and watch the video about safety aboard this aircraft. Watching the video is mandatory. If you don’t watch it then officer Whyneomie will have to throw you off the plane. I mean it will not be pleasant if he has to do that. I suggest seeing the video so you don’t get on his bad side.
Well that is all. I hope you have a good flight and we should be there in eight to eight and a half hours.
Well this going to be a nice strange flight. Why is that Shannese? Oh you will see. You all will see.
Oh Shaylin the Brave I need to ask you something. What would that be? Will you tell me when were within fifty miles of Cuba? I will try to let you know when were that close to Cuba. Is there anything else I can help you with today? Well at the moment I can’t think of anything.
See you ummmmmm. My name is Shannese and these people are Justin and Jestan. Nice to me you people. Over there is my son Mangello. Oh your son looks very cute. Why think you Shaylin the Brave. It is my pleasure. You know Shaylin you don’t look to bad yourself. Oh Mangello stop it. You’re starting to make me blush and this is not the best place to have that happen because this is my work place. I’m so sorry. We’ll see you guys.
Oh captain can you tell me when we are fifty miles from Cuba? Someone back here wants to know. Sure I can tell you so you can tell the passenger.
Why do you need to know when were fifty miles from Cuba? Well you will find out later.
Hey mom. What is it Mangello? Will you tell me what you wouldn’t tell me on the phone? I guess I might as well go ahead and tell you.
I want to let you know son that I’m getting a divorce from your father. Why the heck are you doing that mom? Well it is because of what happened in the hospital. Well what happened in the hospital? What happened was that I met a fine man. I wanted to say I love you, but I had to stay loyal and remain with my husband here. Wanted to say that. Instead what came out of my mouth was I love you and I want to marry you.
I told him that I would come back home and get a divorce from my husband so we could get married. I told him the wedding would be in a month from now I said for him to meet me at the airport at seven. I also said that if he doesn’t see me, then I said wait another half hour for me to get there.
I don’t know what I was thinking. Why would I want to marry the doctor? I guess it was just the heat of the moment that got me carried away. Next time maybe I should think before I speak. I think that will be a good idea. We don’t want something like this to happen again. No we don’t want that.
If you realize now that you don’t want to marry him, how you going to tell? Well I will come back in a month and tell him that it is off. It may be hard on him. I will be there for support until I leave late that night. If I call the hospital and talk to him, then who will help give him support about what he is dealing with. He might have support if he passes, but might not have support for his issues.
You got a point. Is it okay if I come with you? Sure it is. Plus I don’t want to leave you home alone for awhile. Do you remember the last time I left you home alone? I sure do. When you got
