COMING OF THE LOST HEIRESS
“Er, about nine hours. Sheesh, just look at my watch.
Besides, my name is no more Michelle, it is now N’yebo.” She snickered.
“What? Nine! Oh no—oh no, I got to go brush my—!” My sentence got interfered.
“Whoa—whoa, hold it right there, Mvuela! Or shall I preferred Prince Mvuela?” N’yebo teased.
“What now N’yebo? First of all, I discovered myself sleeping on you. And how—how did
I get down here?” I asked.
“Duh! I have no idea. Finally, I have found my Ubaba,” N’yebo answered. “Ugh,
huh—huh, mommy.
Er—yeah, right! King Dumisa that’s your Ubaba?” I puzzled.
“Yup!” She excited. “Yeah, right. Who do you think I am? Five years old?”
I said.
Scoffing off anxiously upstairs as N’yebo and her Ubaba stared at each other then broke
in laughter hard.
“My—my, Ubaba, I never see Mvuela that embarrassed before. Especially when he
discovered himself laying on me.
Sheesh, he is such a nuisance!” N’yebo growled. “Oh boy, now we have two despising each
other young adults trying to tears themselves apart.” Dumisa murmured.
“Tears apart? Man, that’s so cold-blooded.” She replied. Dumisa and his daughter broke
in laughter again.
Within the bathroom, my heart was racing, and I couldn’t breathe properly. ‘H—how, did I get myself on her? I thought I told myself that I will never fall in love.
Then why—then why? Why this sudden feeling for N’yebo? And it is growing bigger and bigger, I
thought.
Huh, what should I do—what should I do if I am completely in love with her?’ I
continued.
Instantly my thought was discontinued by the knock then N’yebo came
Because she thought that nobody was in the bathroom, henceforth, she was surprised to
be there.
When
I saw her too, my heart began doing racing. “Mvuela, are you okay? You seem
pale is because—?” N’yebo got interfered.
“Don’t say it N’yebo. I know—I know you are embarrassed but on Wednesday is the day we’re returning to America. Don’t you think so?” I grinned.
N’yebo nods back with a grin. “Er,—well, is King Dumisa really your Ubaba?” I asked. “Yes, just
check yourself,” N’yebo excited.
I took the photo from her hand and was surprised to see that it was the truth.
“Yup, definitely you when you were little.
And oppositely King Dumisa is your Ubaba because he is similar to the man on the
photo. And this supposed to be your Umama—right?” I asked.
“Right.” N’yebo agreed. “Umm, sorry for your loss. But here is another good news?” I
said. “What other good news?” N’yebo asked.
“Well, I overheard years ago—your grandfather saying –he is going to give the throne
to him unless he has a child.
He doesn’t care whether a girl or boy is—to him either one of them he will crown
heir or heiress to the throne.
Now since you are here, you’ve made your Ubaba proud.” I answered.
Continually on Lion of Judah. After Michelle finally met her Ubaba whose name changed to N’yebo her Zulu’s African real name, she is now on the voyage to meet her grandfather.
With trouble beginning to stir up within the Nyani Clan in the Savanna Kingdom.
“Right.” N’yebo agreed. “Umm, sorry for your loss. But here is another good news?” I said. “What other good news?” N’yebo asked.
