DECEITFUL

Chapter 1

" Lashonda Moore.. the doctor will see you now " the nurse said as she waved at me to follow her. I quickly gathered my things relieved to be out of that loud waiting room filled with other pregnant women and children and followed the nurse to the back. “Is this your first time here?” she asked “yes” I replied back in a timid shaky voice ashamed of myself for what I was about to do I can’t believe I let shit get this out of hand but ending this pregnancy is the best thing for Rasheem and I right now. Rasheem is the love of my life but right now I can’t stand his ass for what he has put me through it was about 3 years ago when we met I was going to Johnston college right on the outskirts of Brooklyn. I use to see him in passing all the time one day I seen him sitting outside at the benches where everyone gathers between classes to chill. I walked past hoping he would say something and he did! “yo shorty ya shoe untied” he said pointing at my feet as I bent down I realized my dumbass had on sandals that day. I stood back up and squinted my eyes “that was corny” I shot back “oh she spicyyy” he laughed I gave him a smirk “My name is Rasheem my peoples call me Rah” you can just call me Shonda I said back to him “you smoke Shonda?” he said “smoke what.. bud? Nah not really” “ well if you know anybody looking for it I got it” he said “Ohh that’s what you be doing up here huh?” I replied “Yea why you gonna snitch on me” he said rolling his eyes “Nah I ain’t no snitch” I said waving my hands in front of me. We sat there talking for about an hour or so exchanged numbers and I was on my way to my next class with a smile on my face. Rasheem was that pretty boy light skin type, he had a nice edge up with waves, he always had on the latest jordans. Everytime he passed by he smelled just like a black ice air freshener I was open and had the biggest crush ever. “Ok miss moore your all set, do you have someone to pick you up? Otherwise we cannot release you until the anesthesia has worn off completely” the Dr. said “yes my boyfriend will be here in a minute” I said holding back tears as I took my feet out of the stirrups and began to get dressed. I was the type that didn’t believe in abortions even participated in marches and protests on campus against them and there I was being the biggest hypocrite of them all. I took my cellphone out my purse and called Rasheem to come and get me. As I waited the sound of newborn babies crying was just too much for me so I waited for him outside shortly he pulled up in his black navigator blasting Migos singing along to motorsport. “TURN THAT SHIT OFF” I screamed “Ok babe damn” Rasheem snapped back “what the hell you so happy for anyway” I asked “Cause I just hit a nice lick we should be good for a while” he replied back. I rolled my eyes and leaned my seat back staring out the window the whole ride home. Once we got home my nosey ass neighbor tried greeting me “hey shonda girl, I ain’t seen you all day where you been?” she asked fishing for information “ I had something to do earlier but I’m good now” I said “you sure, you look like you don’t feel well” “IM GOOD” I yelled back. My neighbor Reesey was one who was nosey and annoying at times but despite that we had become friends over the past year she’s been living across the hall for a while now I even watch her kids on my days off sometimes. I came in and all I wanted to do was go straight to the shower. I had a little blood leak from the abortion and had started cramping since leaving the clinic. “RAH BRING ME THAT PILL BOTTLE ON THE DRESSER” I yelled as I walked into the kitchen to get some water “Babe you need to chill and relax as much as you can for right now” Rasheem said bringing me my pain meds “I know I will in a min but I need to eat something with this medicine” Rasheem grabbed a pot from under the sink and began heating up some water for ramen noodles. I took the pills and went back in the room to lay down I flicked on the tv to the first 48 my favorite show and waited for my noodles, before I knew it I was fast asleep.

Chapter 2

For the rest of that night Rasheem stayed in the living room sorting out some paper work on some cars he had just got shipped in. Rasheem was the type that always wanted to be his own boss unfortunately that meant getting into illegal businesses. First a small time drug dealer to now flipping faulty cars he got through a connect in Texas. When they had hurricane Harvey a lot of cars were abandoned because of flooding which caused most cars to rust underneath Rasheem put his mechanic on to fixing up the bottom to make them look decent and selling them for damn near a new car price it’s been working out so far. The next day was a busy one for me I had to catch up on the work I missed from taking off yesterday life as a burger king manager sucked big time. I felt like I went to school for nothing my parents would definitely be disappointed if they knew they paid all that tuition money for nothing I miss them dearly though they passed away last year in a car accident. Being the only child I had a very tough time dealing with it but it has made me a stronger person. Me terminating my pregnancy yesterday crushed me I’ve always wanted children because I grew up without siblings. I didn’t want my child experiencing some of the same things I did but the time just isn’t right for Rasheem and i, hopefully this lick he claim he got will get us up out the projects for good I’m not raising any children of mine in Linden. Once I got home from work Rasheem was sitting at the dining table on the phone “WHAT THE FUCK YOU MEAN MY CARS AIN’T THERE!? NIGGA I KNOW YOU AIN’T RUN YA MOUTH ABOUT MY SPOT!!” I looked at Rasheem his face was as red as a tomato and that big vein in his forehead was popping out again the only other time I have ever seen him this mad is when he brought fake NBA tickets for The Nets at Barclay’s floor seats 1500 a piece! Somebody got him good that day he spent all night looking for that guy, whoever was on the other end of that call I felt sorry for them. Rasheem snatched his coat off the couch gave me a kiss and headed out the door,“I’ll be back later babe” he said.

**Rasheem**

I couldn’t get to Farrock fast enough if this nigga Johnny told one of his little homeboys about my spot and now my shit gone I’m fucking him up. Johnny was this little Spanish kid I knew from around the way when I use to live in Queens, he use to always follow me around telling me he wanted to be like me. He was more of a little bro so I put him on when I felt he could handle this lifestyle I put him in charge of watching my warehouse I rented once I found my Texas connect. Johnny was my eyes and ears to the streets he knew everybody. Aside from him I had my boys big Tone and Phil, Phil was my old head man more like an uncle he been friends with my father since grade school. I had him arrange for the cars to be shipped to queens and this last order was the fucking jackpot we had a 2017 Camaro,2017 Jaguar and 2015 Mustang flipping them would definitely get us up out the projects. Big Tone I kept around as my muscle and enforcer if I had any problems Tone was my go to guy. He’s a bouncer at Sin City where I use to be a regular until I met my boo Shonda. When I pulled up to the warehouse Johnny and Tone was standing outside, Johnny looked nervous as fuck Tone was on the phone pacing back and forth. “DIDN’T I TELL YOU TO KEEP A EYE OUT ON MY SHIT! WHAT HAPPENED!?” I barked at Johnny. “Nahh G I was but two cameras had went out so I came over to check it out when I opened the warehouse shit was empty that’s when I called you then Tone” Johnny replied. “Yo Rah I just got word from my mans who said it’s a nigga riding around the hood in a 2017 black Jag ” Tone said “Well that’s one bold mutherfucker cause I’m going to kill his ass let’s go!” I said as we all hopped in my truck and headed to Johnny house. He lived dead in the middle of the hood perfect spot for finding out what I needed to know. Once we got to Johnny house I checked all the camera equipment and monitors to make sure shit was still working right which it was so that led me to believe whoever broke in the warehouse knew exactly where the cameras was, I didn’t say anything but I think this nigga Johnny set me up. We chilled outside Johnny house for a little while just listening to the talk in the streets. I had to think fast though otherwise the chance of me getting those cars back was slipping away with every minute that passed. Two young niggas walked past us and I heard one say “you seen that nigga Greg car he got the new Jag boyyy you can’t tell that man shit he think he all that now” Big Tone snatched the boy up before I could even lift my head to see who was talking “WHO THE FUCK IS GREG LIL NIGGA WHERE HE BE AT!? START TALKING OR ILL SPLIT YA DOME RIGHT HERE!!” Tone said “Chill you buggin, I don’t know him like that he sold me some weed a couple of times” the boy said squirming trying to get out of Tone’s tight grip. “CALL THAT NIGGA AND TELL HIM YOU WANT A 8TH OF LOUD THEN AND TELL HIM TO MEET YOU ON 121ST AND BROADWAY RIGHT NOW” Tone spat out. “He said give him 20mins” the young boy said shaken with fear “KOOL WE OUT” Tone said. As we got ready to head over there I notice Johnny being hesitant “Ya’ll go ahead, I’m going to lay low to see if I hear any more news on the street about the other cars, I’ll be here when ya’ll boys get back” Johnny said “iight kool” I said I started to press his ass to come but then again Johnny staying behind might not be such a bad idea him coming could potentially fuck up any chance of me finding my other cars. If the little nigga did set me up I didn’t want to make a move on Johnny until I got all the facts. On our way over to 121st Tone was
