1. Magic......

I always liked the snow. The way it fell gently and softly from the sky above. Or, when it landed on your nose and you could see the perfect white snowflake. All in all, my favorite is when you wake up after a blizzard or a snow storm. In Pennsylvania, it was perfectly normal to wake up in early January and find the world covered in a thick layer of beautiful white snow. Great old maple trees that were once covered in green leaves in the summer,  were now bare and covered in snow. Or the Ever Green trees covered in white and green. Winter is magic……. So what if I told you that magic is real?

 

                If you would have told me 2 months ago that all the myths like Santa, unicorns, mermaids, the sandman, fairies, the  Easter bunny, Tooth fairy, Jack Frost, Greek Gods, Sommoners, elves, and even magic was real and they all keep the world safe. I would have laughed at you and said “yah and my hair isn’t white like snow!”. The funny thing is that my hair is the color of pure snow! My name is winter; I have long white hair that reaches my lower back, crystal blue eyes, and soft pale skin. I’m Sixteen years old and this is the story of how I found out that I was the Guardian of Winter.

 

                “START!!” yelled Mira one of my friends, as I dodged snowballs by cart wheeling, front flips, and back flips in the snow.  Noticing that the snowballs had stopped, I gently landed on my feet. “What time is it?” I ask Mira while looking up at the darkened sky. “8pm” said Ben my other friend, “I got to get home! Bye!” I yelled back at Mira and Ben, while running in the direction of my home. Once I finally got home I said hi to my parents and went to my room. After two hours of reading I fell asleep.

 

“Jack you can’t just wake her up!”Says a sweet voice, “Why not Tooth?!” said an annoyed voice. I open my eyes and to my surprise I see a girl and a boy standing next to my bed, I quickly jump out of bed. The girl looked to be about 16 or 17. She had long red hair and caramel colored skin, big dark brown eyes, and a big smile on her face. She was wearing a long flowing pink princess style dress, but the thing that was the most odd to me was that she had fairy like wings! The boy looked to be about 16. He had light blonde hair and green eyes; he was wearing a blue and black striped shirt and a pair of faded black pants, I don’t know why but he carried a wooden carved stick that looked really old. Who in the world are these people?!

 

                  “W-who are y-you?!” I asked shocked and scared. “Hi I’m The Tooth Fairy, but you can call me Tooth!” She says happily, “Jack Frost. Can we go now? I don’t feel like Santa busting my butt again about taking too long.” Jack said annoyed. My eyes go wide when he said that, “G-go w-where?” I managed to get out. “The North pole silly!” Tooth said in a duh tone, “She can’t go dressed like that!” Jack said looking at my Pajamas. “Nothing I can’t fix!” Tooth says while throwing pink dust on me. All of a sudden I’m in a white sparkly long sleeve dress, white furry boots, and a snow flake headband. “Ready to go?” Jack says looking at me and I nod.

 

                “Would you like a cookie dear?” asks Santa, I just shake my head no. At this moment we are in Santa’s Office, Santa is just as everyone pictures him….. It’s really no point describing him. “May I ask why I’m here Mr. Claus? Am I one the naughty list or something?” I ask shyly. “Nope, but Jack is!” Santa says laughing, “That’s nothing new…..” Tooth says rolling her eyes. “Get to the point chubby.” Jack says annoyed as usual. “You, my dear are the guardian of winter.”  My eyes go wide….Everyone has heard of ‘Guardian of Winter’ at least one time in their life. ….

 

                “This magical person was born the coldest night of winter. Blessed with Pure white hair long and full. Her beauty for no one can compare, light crystal blue orbs, her face perfectly sculpted, her skin as pale as the moon for which she was born under. For she is the child snow, ‘The Guardian of winter ’” I say softly……

2. Mad women, Douche bags, and Summer

“NO WAY!!!! I can’t be- this is a BIG mistake! I-I-I’m just a normal person with color disfiguration in my hair, and pale skin!” I say pacing back and forth. “Well you are,  soooo like….. BE HAPPY!” Tooth says picking her nails…. Is this girl mad?! This means I have to FIGHT The Darkling! From the legends I heard, he was the most evil thing EVER. “He has destroyed countless empires in the past……ALONE!!!!!……...and I should be happy?! For the fact that me and the guardians have to FIGHT HIM??????!!!!!! ARE YOU MAD WOMAN?!” I screeched clearly disgusted, causing Jack to laugh. “CAN WE KEEP HER?! SHE”S WAY MORE FUN THEN THE OTHER GUARDIANS!!!” Jack says still laughing, but mainly at Tooth’s shocked/angry face. “You just like her because she’s hot.” A curly hair guy says sleepily as he looks me up and down. “And the fact that she’s your element, Frost.” Jack scoffs at this comment, “Sandman, still as annoying as ever, huh?” jack says glaring at Sandman. “Winter meet The Sandman, or as we call him Sandy!” Tooth chirps happily….. It’s like she forgot I just snapped at her! Can my life get anymore weird right now?! “I CALL DIBS!!!!!!!!” A wide blue eyed guy says looking at me…………… WHERE THE HELL DID HE COME FROM?!?! I’m officially sure that my life cannot be ordinary…. WHY ME?!

            “So you’re The Guardian of Winter! Nice to meet you I’m Sandman, you can call me San or Sandy.” San says kissing my hand, San seems nice………Jack scoffs again…………. I wonder way Jack doesn’t like him? “Hi I’m Sky the Guardian of summer and you must be the prettiest creature alive?” now it was my turn to scoff. “l love, didn’t you ever wonder why winter and summer never mixed?” I ask sweetly. “One is hot and one is cold, duh!” he says utterly confused. “Oi! You idiot, she’s saying stick to your own element.” A girl pops up behind me; she had bright green eyes and pale pink hair with purple tips. “Hi I’m April the guardian of spring and this is my twin brother Autumn the Guardian of fall!” April points to a guy with golden eyes and reddish brown hair, who simpliy waves his hand……….he seems normal…..I LIKE HIM ALREADY. “Now that you all know each other will one of you please show Winter to her room?” Santa asks, “I WILL!!!!!” they all scream (besides Jack). “I’ll do it….” Jack says rolling his blue orbs and grabbing my hand…3…2…1….. Blush………Grr how I hate my cheeks at times……. Even after leaving Santa’s office jack held on to my hand. “Jack can I ask you a question?”

“Shot.”

“Why don’t you like San?”

“Personal.”

“Are you going to only answer me in one word sentences?”

“Yup.”

“This isn’t going anywhere, is it?”

“Nope.” I sighed in frustration

“You’re annoying.” I state blankly. He just nods and acts like he didn’t hear my last comment.

“How old is this place?” I say looking around as we past ancient walls covered in designs.

“Old.” I pout as I look up at his highly amused face….”Douche.”

“WHAT DID I DO?!”

“You...Where...Being...A...Douche bag!” I say smirking as he looked down at me bewild. “NUH UH!”.

“GURSH NURH WILL YOU BOTH SHUT UP?! SOME CREATURES ARE SLEEPING HERE!” a voice says when me and jack pass a room door. “Stupid little fairies……” jack hisses……………………DID HE SAY FAIRIES?!.......”OH MY GOD FAIRIES?! WHERE?!” I say jumping up and down…. Let’s just say I watched one too many Disney movies growing up… “Welcome to the north pole.” Jack says with a small smile…….

3. Perverts and Peter Pan......HOW THE HELL DO THEY MIX?!

It’s been a week since Jack and Tooth showed up in my room, a week filled with a lot of training. I woke up to the sound of light knocking on my door…… “Yes?” I say opening my door to reveal Jack and April at my door. “MORING WINTER!!!!” April chirps her British accent shining through, “Hey….” Jack says as giving me a small tired wave. “H-hi” I say a little shaken by April’s shouting this early in the fricking morning….. “Wait, what time is it?” I say quietly, “7 A.M BABY!!!!!!” April screams causing me to jump behind jack.
