chapter 1 - dark dreams

'he's in my head again, watching me sleep, watching me wake, watching me live a non existent life'

 

in my dreams he exists, but only there can i see what he is, what he wants and what he needs...

i fear waking up because then he will be gone, then its back to reality and working at the cafe on king street

 

 

i wish dreams were real, 'cause then we would be together forever, but as it is i am happy he guards my repose

i feel safe where i am, floating on his cloud, in his arms, like i am his rock that guides him

he doesn't speak, just lays beside me and watches me with his dark swirling brown eyes

eyes that i could and would do anything to beholden

even for a breath of a moment, i would look upon his gaze and dream that it is forever

 

but dreams dont exist, they beckon and trick you, and make you think you're there when you are not... they deceive and burst when the sun arises, washing away all hope until there is nothing left but the essence of the dreamers hopes and aspirations...

 

but for now i will watch him sleep as he watches me dream, full of false hope of one day being in his arms forever until the end.......

 

chapter 2 - earth bound

i woke again with his breath upon my neck, its lingering warmth fading as the sun rose, peering into my windows, his body curled up beside me in my dreams shadowing my quilt that lay on me as i woke

 

i hate my dreams, they let me dream for more than what i have and what i dont have... every day, i work and toil, scraping though enough money to pay for my unit in the everglades of suburban Adelaide... i am blessed to be near the beach where the crashing waves call me on occassion, but lately i have not had the time or opportunity to make it out there, work being the bitch it is, and having to study as soon as i get home, i'm surprised i still have friends lol...

 

my phone beeps at me, signalling a message from my bestfriend, Cara... 

 

'what you upto tonight?" i read, wondering if i should answer as i'm running a little late for work, my boss wont be happy im sure...

 

"don't know yet, will get back 2 you!" i text back, then put it down and head for the shower, pausing at the mirror, seeing my hair a mess again and resolving to heck with it and wash it, despite being late for work so far...

 

im lucky in parts, my 2 bedroom unit, as quaint as it is, dearly needed a new paint job, especially in the bathroom lol... edges of peeling paint making its presence known in the recess of my shower cubicle...

 

10mins later after washing my hair and whatnot, getting dressed in black pants and black tshirt the cafe regarded as normal attire for working, i check my phone again as i walk out the door, locking it behind me...

 

"Beth wants you to come over, i bet you forgot its her birthday tomorrow, LOL!" Cara wrote back... seeing as its 9:27am i assume she's in class texting while supposedly listening to her teacher lol...

 

"i promise as soon as my shift is over, i'll pop over after i get home from work" i text back as i walk to the bus stop not far from my units... seeing as i only had to wait maybe 5mins for the bus, its lucky that i didnt spend more time in the shower lol...

 

"you betta Sarah, we missed you last weekend :("

 

"i will i promise LOL dont fret petal :P" i text back, climbing onboard my bus, finding an empty seat and sit and stare out the window with my earphones in my ear, listening to whatever my iPod decided to play...
