He ran off with my common sense. The night sets into the atmosphere and i see his breath. Creepy chills gravitate towards me. the expression on his face is serious. What is wrong with this man that steps off of the train?
Is it something i said? Or maybe the way i looked at him? I look into his eyes and his gaze is as deep as a dark hole, never to be climbed out of. His features turn cold and my skin starts to tingle. His demeanor seems to cause this but i can't look away.
As i look at him, the train departs. I see flames in his eyes. I start to walk towards him and start to forget. Forget everything about everything. The last thing i remember is him smiling at me.
I wake up to flashing lights. The people with the emergency truck start to check me for any serious injuries. They load me onto the stretcher and into the truck. I don't care about that right now. I only try
to think of what happened to the man.
What happened to the stranger on the train? Why can't i remember anything? About it? About him? All i remember is the smile. His
smile. That evil, hatred possessed, uncommon, yet luring smile. I drift in and out of consciousness on the way to the hospital.
I awake to this funny smell. Like lysol or something. The "too clean
" smell. My nose twitches and i scratch it. I sneeze unexpectedly and sit up straighter to scan my surroundings. The Hospital. The place where miracles and tragedies happen. Kind of like God's place to deliver you. I chuckle to myself. The doctor walks in on my moment.
"Well at least she is awake." She chirps
"What happened to me?" I groan
"Well...you were laying in your own blood and there were no deep cuts, just puncture wounds in your neck. We found nothing in your system." She explains my injuries
"Wait! Who found me?" I ask frantically
"A man named Demetri Picasso." She smiles
"He had a twisted but cute smile right?" I ask
"Yeah...Do you know him personally?" She asks hopefully and starts to blush a little
"No but I feel that i'll see him again." I mumble
"What was that?" She asks me to speak up
"I said NO I don't. Sorry." I watch her face drop to the floor
"Well then, you can check out." She hands me the forms with an attitude
I sign the forms and change out of the hospital clothes. I walk out of the Hospital and head east. Along the concrete sidewalk. I walk until I can't walk anymore. I sit by the side of the road. A truck stops and a man asks me if I need a ride. I say yes; thank you.
