Chapter One
Strollind down the dark, lonely road, nowhere to go but forward. Trying to decide what path to take, what road to walk. A plethora of thoughts pop into my head as if someone or something is trying to tell me something. CRUNCH!! Startled,I turn around peering into the darkness, hoping to find my answers in the trees. A figure so magnificent my eyes felt urged to look away, suddenly walked towards me and smiled. The smile hurt my eyes like looking directly into the blazing sun. RING RING!!! "O.k. class have those projects turned into me by Monday morning." These visions, I keep having, keep getting more and more frequent. When your a 16 year old girl going through pubrety all you want to be is normal. I am far from that. I adore old musicals, am obssesed with school more than boys, and lately I have been having these flashes of another world, completely. Even though I dont really like people, I do have one friend, Brownie. He is my world, my life, and most importantly my dog. I pour my heart out to him about everything, except the visions. The creature of whom I dream doesnt have a name nor a heart. I dont what it is or what it represents, all I know is that I trust it even more than I trust mother. I believe that.....As the figure moved closer and closer I became terrified, my body started shaking. The clouds turned as dark as midnight. The figure started......"Hey, watch it loser" "Sorry" "Ugh". Rolling my eyes I walked away. I could understand AP Calculus but cant understand why popular people have to stoop so low as to call others names. Anyway, my mom, she means alot to me. Most,no, some,no, alot, thats the word, of the times she understands me. Not for this situation, though. Youesee, she is a very religious woman. If I told her about my visions, she would probably think I was possesed or something like that. Ring, Ring. Lunch bell. I waltz straight to the table that is vacant and draw. When I draw it feels like everything else disappers. The true me comes out on paper. "Hey Les" Huh? No one ever talks to me. Especially not THE POPULARS. "What do you want?" "Would you like to sit with us today?" "No" "But I thought that yo"....to walk towardsme. I felt as if I should run away form the creature. I heard voices screamiing my name, begging me to run away. I just couldnt find the strength to leave the presence of this thing. I decided to name the thing "Lunoctaviance". A mysterious name for a mysterious creature. He, yes he, grabbed my body. He just stood there holding me. He started laughing even more....."HELLO" That one was longer than the rest. "Whatever". The girls walked back to their boy infested table. Most people think that I am a loner by force, not by choice. WEE-WOO!!! "Students please stay seated, the alarm was pulled on accident". Ms. Ross, how to explain her. She tries too hard for students to like her. One time she did my whole science project. The students, of course, didnt listen to her, and started freaking out and screaming "FIRE, FIRE." I rushed out too. While walking out of the cafeteria, or at least trying to, a familiar voice whispered "Les,Les, trust is the key to life. Take the key". When I turmed around, to see who it was, there was no one there, except 500 million other people. Where did I know that voice from? The rest of the day went by normally. Turns out that there was a fire. We were sent home for the remainder of the day. The falshs of an alternate universe haven't been happening sin..... than usual. Lunoctaviance spoke "Les, I am what you know I am." I put on my most confused face of all time. Even though inside I was melting. His voice went from possesed to angelic in a timespan of 5 seconds. "You know who I am and my purpose but you dont know that you know?". Suddenly, my sister appeared next to me. "Your sister has.." Abrubtly, another thing comes out and grabs my Lunoctaviance. "NO!" I feel as if my heart has been ripped form its socket and ran over by a million bulls. All that was left is my sister and I. She extends her hand to me and I accept it.
