Wow. wow. This is harder than I thought. Sitting here, watching my best friend makeout with the one person I've loved my whole life. Only she doesn't know that. All she knows is that we used to date and that I was “‘fine’ when he broke up with me because I didn't like him that much. But I don't know why I kept lying to myself. Oh YOU think this isn't hard? Well you’re right I guess. It's not hard, it's EXCRUCIATING. The lights and music pounding in my ears manages to distract me for a second but only a second, my eyes drag back over to them. “Hey stranger” I jump in my seat. “Jeez it’s only me”, Matt says. (my ex boyfriend who I predict still likes me because he smiles at me all the time, it’s kind of weird but I guess we’re friends) “oh right, um sorry about that I was just-”
“you were just… getting jealous from far away and sort of being creepy?” I stammer, offended(even though he caught me) and say “I am NOT jealous, I'm just um, enjoying the party!!” “I’m sure you are but you have that look on your face” He says with a smirk “um… What look? And stop smiling!” “the jealous one…” He says, still grinning.
I roll my eyes and sigh impatiently. What am I even waiting for though? This stupid party was meant to put me in a good mood I mean isnt that was parties do? I guess not.
“Why are you even here Matt? I’m sitting in the corner at a PARTY, what makes you think I’m in the mood to talk to you?” “Well if I was sitting in a corner at a PARTY I’d probably want to talk to you so..” He says before yawning and taking a sip of his drink. “Well..”
“You know what? I’m gonna get over there and tell Cammy that I’m leaving.” I say proudly.
“Wow ok well good luck I guess? I don't know but bye.” Matt mumbles. “Bye see you soon!” I say sarcastically knowing that I will not see him soon I mean at least hopefully not.
