It all started on Thanksgiving day. Everything was going swell. None of it was as unusual as the things I just might say to you. As mom would always baste the turkey with a sweet honey substance and if you went on the other side of the counter, across from mom was my dad making his famous stuffing while the guests would chatter in the living room. There was my cousin, Victoria, soon to be an actress, my uncle Curt that was an almost retired army pilot. Everyone in this stretching room seemed to have a story. Then there was me. The always sedated, Christina but you can call me, Chris. I was the one that was always in my own world, always dismissing the people around me. Constantly trying my best to erase my existence. What can I say, it was every teenagers dream but enough about me, lets move on.
After the big dinner I snuck out the back door and decided to take my midnight stroll. The moon shining high and low through the trees, the sweet mist kissing my lips continuously. It was like heaven to me. I took my daily route along the path on my left than the one on the right. The left was more clear and I was more familiar with my surroundings. That was until I heard a rustling noise. Now at first I thought it was a fox or maybe a lost rabbit but when I now think about it. I wish it was. Anyway, moving on.
The rustling sound began to grow bigger like someone was dismantling something. I gotten scared and began to slowly turn around and fast walk out of there. The sound began to follow me. Like it was right behind me. I then began to run faster, so fast that not even the devil himself could catch me. It sounded like a wild animal. Breaking branches and already dead leaves in its path. Suddenly I came to a dead end. I froze in a panic and tried to prearrange myself on a way to escape but it was to late. Whatever was coming for me finally caught me. At the very moment I thought of the perfect opportunity for this thing to come for me. It suddenly got quiet...almost to quiet. The birds stopped chirping, there was no more snapping branches or breaking leaves.
The only thing I could hear was my heavy breath blending in with the wind. That was until a giant wolf came right out of the brush on my left. I ducked as it swooped down above my head. Even though the monster had missed that did not stop it for trying to charge at me again. I sprinted right by it without looking back and without thinking about where I was going. All I wanted to do was get out of there. Eventually I heard a distant roar from where I just once came. I reached the black pavement road that was a block away from my house. I placed my feet a couple of inches away from the woods and whispered “Werewolf…”
