"And there should be some mens clothing in the drawer, I'll get yours cleaned though,"
"Thanks."
"Yeah, no problem," my voice trailed after me as I walked out of his room.
~Blake's P.O.V~
Taking a huge bite out of the pizza, I groaned loudly at how good it tasted, this chick could cook! As soon as I demolished the last of the pizza I made my way into the bathroom, taking in the earthy, pine tree smell that exploded the room. Turning the shower on I hopped in, feeling the warmth steal all of the tightness that had swollen up around my muscles. After about 20 minutes I stepped out, grabbing a soft white towel, securing it around my waist. Glancing in the mirror I noticed a dark purple bruise forming under my eye, dulling my, usually, bright green eyes into a earthy green colour, running a hand through my now damp blonde hair, a tint of brown forming under my hair caught my eye. Backing out of the bathroom, I quickly glanced around searching for the dresser that held what I was searching for, spotting the run down wood, I strode over, rummaging through the clothes, finding a pair of boxers with the tags still on, a pair of grey joggers and a plain black tee, this should do me over until I get out of here. After I had dried myself and got dressed, I started looking through the books. My father never let me read, apparently it wasn't as important as fulfilling my 'destiny' whatever that meant, probably crazy old man talk.
Glancing out the window I noticed that the sun was setting, I've seen the sun set plenty of times in the city, but I've never seen it look so breathtakingly beautiful in my entire life, a small smile formed on my lips when I noticed how quiet and relaxing it is out here. I would have loved to grow up out here, just seeing the sunset and rise every day would easily put me at ease, nothing like the city. Music blaring from every angle, cars racing down the road at 4am, street-lamps flickering on and off. I mean, I lived in a good area, nothing bad really happened there but it wasn't somewhere I particularly liked growing up in, nowhere I would ever bring up my children. No, a city can be too rough for children, whereas, out here, everything is calm and collected. Safe.
