talk to me?
I opened my mouth to answer him but an embarrassing sound came out of my mouth. He chuckled at my nervousness while I looked down in embarrassment. I could feel my cheeks heating up but thankfully, he just handed me my pencil and walked away without saying anything.
Then, I remembered something really important.
“Hey…Alex!” I called out to him. He stopped walking and turned to look at me. He looked surprised, probably over the fact that I called him by his name. I then smiled and said, “Thank you… for standing up for me”.
Alex smiled back and said, “You’re welcome, Cassie” before he continued to walk away.

All because of this mysterious guy with an unknown motive.
