then we both laughed hysterically. Yeah but Jason isn’t a total jerk Annabelle said defensively. I stared at her than giggled sarcastically “right”. What? She asked sheepishly her cheeks flushed red. I knew perfectly well that she knew what I was thinking. Reading my impression she turned her face away bitterly and gazed at the grass. I don’t like him she muttered if that’s what you’re thinking. Annabelle I spoke gently carefully choosing my words. I knew I offended her. Clearing my throat I glanced at Annabelle pale face, she was pretty with her emerald green eyes and wavy brunette hair that fell to her face so perfectly. I honestly think she is way prettier than me, me with silky black hair and dark eyes, I was pale even paler than Annabelle I have long eyelashes and nice red full lips, which was the plus. Annabelle I started, don’t lie to you. Who said I was lying she glared at me. I squeezed my eyes shut, oh crap! That’s not what I meant to say I thought. She looked at me wanting a response. I looked at her intently deciding to solve the issue and make her realized what she truly wants. You like him Annabelle; I could see it in your eyes. It’s the way you look at him every time he passes. Annabelle blushed tremendously you shouldn’t be taunting me she growled. I frowned, what! You think I am making fun of you? Of course you are she said darkly your probably laughing inside screaming she’s all that. I didn’t know what to say, Annabelle never had talked to me this way. What are you trying to say? I retorted. She looked at me you know exactly what I am saying. I sighed, Annabelle I would never laugh at you you’re my best friend, in fact I am willing to support and help you if you like Jason. She looked tediously at the green grass and dirt in her hand. Annabelle I am talking to you I said firmly. I know she snapped she looked up her eyes were full of tears. I feel like a bitch right now! She bellowed angrily flinging the grass from her hands. I looked at her soothingly, no you aren’t everyone have times that they misunderstand. She looked at me you’re there to remind me she said coolly. I smiled you won’t survive without my comments. Frankly you’re right Annabelle admitted dusting the dirt of her hands. Exactly I said, like I said before Annabelle you’re my best friend and I will give you advice. Finally Annabelle smiled then laughed. This is so childish, am I really arguing for this? I guess so I said. She laughed again. Caraline you see that’s why I like you, you’re there to tell me advice that helps me and you are very frank with me. I thought you would hesitate about asking about Jason like normal girls would be, but you asked a straight forward question. She touched my hand your really like my sister. You aren’t afraid of telling me things straight to my face. If I was a bitch you would tell me straight forward, if I was this or that you had tell me straight to my face. It’s hard to find friends like you she finished. After listening to her perspective of me I smiled Annabelle I don’t know what I will do without you I breathed sniffing the air. You see people and understand them deeply. That what I am here for Annabelle laughed. I laughed and gave her a warm big hug. You’re my best friend she whispered.

Oliver said a wise but clear loud voice have they gotten to the village safely. Yes your majesty, Oliver replied calmly. Very well, thank you very much Oliver I really appreciate it. Your majesty I thought that you wanted to see them personally. Your right Oliver I did want to have an appointment, I feel it’s rather right to meet them since there helping me, do you think so Oliver? Of course your majesty I think it’s a wonderful idea. Mmm alright so I shall do so he replied. Oliver where is Blaylin? The voice asked, I haven’t seen him in quite a while, isn’t that odd? To be honest I haven’t seen him either lately, I believe he said that he was going out to an evening stroll, but it seems doubtful. The king raised his eyebrow, why does it seem doubtful? Because your majesty, he is doing it for the last 2 weeks, it’s starting to get suspicious. The king paused, then he said I wouldn’t jump to conclusion right now Oliver, for now let’s leave this case. Very well your majesty. I should be leaving now I need to travel; I have to help many places the king gazed out the window. I was about to leave my self your majesty, then good bye, with that he made his way to the large golden door with all types of jewels embodied very delicately. Oliver, the king said. Oliver stopped and looked back making eye contact with the king’s. Thank you said the king with a warm smile. No thank you King Altair!

Let’s go now said to Annabelle as I got up. Yeah it is getting late Annabelle agreed. Both of us walked away silently it seemed like the wind was guiding us back to our house. I have to say I was pretty tired. When we arrived at our cabin I quickly walked up the stairs to our room and bonzied in my bed. The minute I did so my eyes started to quiver, gosh I was really tired. I snored loudly as I drifted off to sleep. I slept peacefully at first, but then bizarrely dreaming about a fairytale?
Caraline watch out for that troll! I shrieked. What!? Before I realized my hands flung at a fierce and rather ugly troll slashing it with my big sword. It screamed horribly swaying at the spot. Before I knew it plummeted to the ground with a loud thump lying in a pool of brown blood. The monster was hideous it was hard to avert my eyes from it. Caraline! Jason screamed get in! I heard him yelling across what looked like an annihilated prairie. I could see Jason pointing at an almost closing door. We have to escape a high pitched voice said who I didn’t recognize. I ran. I ran like crazy, behind me I could hear the dark wickedness of the lifeless shadows and horrible screams. I had to escape. Just when I was 10 feet away from the door it was about to close. Jason gave me a pitied look then shrugged and then slipped in before it closed firmly. NO! I screamed, something grabbed me, all I saw was a black cloak. No!!! Caraline what’s the matter! Jason! I screamed as I awoke cold sweat running down my forehead. Both Jason and Annabelle stood by my bed looking startled. Jason seemed the most surprised he edged closer to me and asked what did you have a nightmare why were you screaming my name? Jason I said breathlessly you left me to die! I cried I didn’t know why but I just did. What? Are you hallucinating? Caraline why would I leave you to die what kind of dream is that Jason murmured nervously. A nightmare Annabelle pointed out look at me with concern. I don’t know Jason I just don’t know I whispered back wiping tears frustrated. Annabelle rushed to give me a glass of water. Here you go you gave us a fright there Caraline! She exclaimed. Sorry I said weakly. What time is it? I don’t know like 4:00 she replied. Yeah you should try to get some sleep Jason suggested. I nodded still feeling some kind if uncertainty. Sleep Annabelle ordered sternly. Ok I said loosening up a bit. Jason gave me one last frown and left the room Annabelle followed. I could hear them whisper softly to each other. I hope she’s okay Jason murmured. She’ll be fine Annabelle assured. Jason you should sleep to, we have a very long day ahead of us Annabelle sighed. You’re right Jason whispered and I could hear his footsteps. I think that got him pretty pissed Annabelle yawned as she hopped on her bed pulling up her blanket. I glared at her from my bed; she immediately knew that this meant to shut up so she slowly turned the other way breathing heavily to sleep. I was afraid to sleep what other terrible nightmares would I have? I looked out the window the sun was about to rise. I sighed and closed my eyes for a while. After 5 minutes I decided that I couldn’t sleep now so I swiftly got out of bed making sure not to disturb Annabelle who was sound asleep already. I dressed up quickly and did all the other morning things and ran downstairs. Since there was nothing to do I explored the house then something caught my attention. Out the window I could see an old woman, she looked frail but she was working in the gardens. She was arranging the colored pebbles in a neat pattern. For some reason it was luring me in I wanted to go and talk to her, the look of the old woman was so luring and comforting. In the end I went outside to her, um hello I am Caraline I said smiling shyly. She looked up with a glow of happiness in her face. Oh dear you came here yesterday am I right she said warmly giving me a small hug. Oh yes I did I laughed awkwardly. I am Rosalina Merlin she said her eyes sparkling. Hello Mrs. Merlin what are you doing? I asked politely if you don’t mind. Oh no dear, not at all you can ask me anything I don’t mind. I am actually putting up a barrier around my house so those pesky shadows won’t go corrupting me and my grandson. I out to show them she said frowning at the air. Oh well I said smiling they won’t come if your this cautious. Thank you my dear the old woman said smiling her eyes sparkling. So I said with curiosity what does those shadows do if they get a chance of getting in your house? Oh rowdy things I could tell you that much, the old women said darkly. Very bad in fact, they can manipulate people in doing bad stuff! She huffed frowning again. They got one of my brothers once; we had a hack of time making it leave. How does it leave? I said motioning for one of the rocks she was holding. Examining it carefully I handed it back to her. Well she said it’s a very complicated process but you have to do it right. You have to bring the expert they would recite some rituals and do other things to the person who has it in them. Oh gosh that’s a bit scary don’t you think I said knitting my eyebrows. True that my dear very frightening to hear. Where is your grandson? He is at the sword shelter he loved messing with those thing such a mischievous boy I could tell you that. Thank you so much I am going to leave now I hope we see each other again today I alleged. Before you leave honey I would very much appreciate if you and your friends join us for dinner she called out as I was walking. Oh why I will see if my friends want to come. So what time? I asked. 6:30 sharp she said sternly you have to come! Okay I said smiling at the nice old lady. I waved her goodbye as I walked out to the
