Exhausted, we all fall back. “That’s it! I’m doing it.” Lucinda declares as we take a few steps back until we are hidden in the trees. Taking her glasses off, the cheerful Lucinda we all know becomes her other personality, a Hyde.
Taking out both of her knives, Lucinda charges the thirty men with no mercy. From behind the trees, we hear cries of mercy.
“They no better as to not beg for mercy. That makes Lulu kill them more.” Zachary explains shaking his head in admiration. Lulu, she never lets anyone call her that except Zach and her twin.
After all thirty men are defeated, Lucinda puts her knives away, but before we can unite with her, she puts her glasses back on.
Looking around and blinking, she smiles a sweet smile, like a child’s. “Way to go Merciless Child.” My cousin Avery congratulates. I just smiled like Zachary in admiration. Leave it to Luci to take down a whole army single-handedly.
We decide to leave Regional 16 and head towards Regional 17, my home Region. “I’m finally going to see my family after a long day’s game.” I explain as we head towards my home Region.
My name’s Caroline, Caroline Haddard. I live in Regional 17. There I am known as a thief, like Robin Hood only more like Jesse James because of my gun slinging ability.
My Regional Comrades and I are titled Regional Resistance because we aren’t fighting for glory another more. We are fighting to survive, protect our loved ones, and hopefully escape this place of terror and blood.
We all wait for the train to arrive. This train is driven by no one but by your voice. “Regional 17.” I call out as the train start to move full speed.
Steadying ourselves, we pick our seats or at least tried to. You think that we all live here we have gotten used to this train. Well think again.
“I wonder if Daniel and Shaun are going to be home.” Avery wonders. “Maybe, but you know my brothers. They come and go as they please.” I explain looking out the window until I see Regional 17, home.
I yell stop and the train stops literally throwing every one of us on the ground. “My glasses!” Lucinda shouts out closing her eyes quickly. We rush to find her glasses so she won’t go all crazy.
“Here,” Zachary found them and Luci puts them own. “That’s it! I’m walking!” Both Lucinda and Zachary declare as we all step out.
The train leaves to go back to its station. Admiring my home, we go searching for my house. Even though all of our houses are exactly the same, we know are homes, who doesn’t?
Walking in, I shout out, “I’m home!” “They Danny it’s Caroline!” Shaun shouts out coming to embrace me.
“Don’t call me Danny!” Daniel shouts out then lowering his voice down he says, “Welcome back little sis.” Looking around, I wonder, ‘Where are mom and dad?’
“If you’re wondering where mom and dad are, they took them.” Shaun explains as if he read my mind. “What?” Avery asks apparently getting irritated.
“They didn’t say much, they just barge in and took them for no reason. I mean we pay our debts, you’re in the Game, so what do they want?” Daniel wonders scratching his head.
Pacing around the kitchen, I thought about what my brother said. “I wonder what the real reason The Regional Captions would take your parents.” Zachary says while thinking of a reason why.
“I don’t know, but what I know is, is that no one, no one, and steals my parents.” I declare slamming a fist on the table.
We all say good-bye to me brothers, I ask where they are going but all they said is it’s for us to know and for you to find out! Brothers, they can be a nuisance, but I love them.
Stepping outside we call out for the train.
Within seconds it arrives. Getting in once again, Avery calls out, “Take us to Regional 2.” Avery’s home and it’s close to Regional 1, an excellent place to plan and everything and we won’t have to ride a long day’s journey on this freaking train.
