Author’s Note

The spoken word, song lyrics, speeches, poems, movie quotes, etc., have always fascinated me. On too many occasions to count, someone said, wrote, or sang something that stood out as something to think about, funny, sad, or somehow evoke another emotion, explained or unexplained. In some cases, one of these quotes would wake a long forgotten memory or forgotten person.

The quotes contained in these pages have been collected from my freshman year in high school until the time this has been printed. The collection may never be completed. Some of the quotes are by people I know, famous people, and there are many also are anonymous. Those that are not cited for a particular person are unknown.

I hope the quotes contained herein bring you the same feelings and inspiration that they brought me.
