“They are making me go into Warp” the boy said “As a test I guess.”
“Well.” She replied. “I never had to do it and they promoted me.”
“Yeah but that’s because you’re the best. I don’t know if ill be able to do this. I really don’t. You know how much my emotions get to me. The warp taps into your brain and makes you go crazy.”
“What if I help you? I can stay outside and talk you through, so he cant get to you as easily.” She suggests.
“Is that allowed?”
“I’m not sure, but we might as well try. Get some rest, you have to wake up early tomorrow.”

“The warp is a man who lives in a regular house, but the second you stepped onto his territory he can see into your past, your present, and your future. He can see what effects you most and what can or will destroy your soul. He can make you think things that you don’t even know about. The Warp is evil and will never let you free once you are in. That’s your choice. You have to free yourself from the Warp.” The announcer says. “Many people have entered, but only some have returned.
Go in boy, and lets see if you really have the power!” The crowd cheers and then becomes silent as the boy walks towards the house. He takes the three steps up to the porch. He now has a choice, go in, or stay outside. The boy is already in the Warp, and the man knows that he is there. The boy chooses to stay outside, and walk around the porch to the backyard. The woman was there waiting for her friend.
“Ill talk you through it. Don’t worry, you will do great.” She said.
“Did you come to help your friend?” The woman and boy both jump. The man was sitting on a chair placed against the outside wall of the house.
“Now little boy, I can see through you and remember the second you walk into my house I control you.”
“Tell me what I need to do.” The boy says.
The man is thin, old, tall, and is wearing a suit with a hat that hid his eyes. He is rocking back and fourth on the chair waiting for the control of the boy.
“I’m making this easy for you son. All you need to do is find the master bedroom and take the flowers.”
“Flowers?” The boy asks. “That’s it?”
“I told you, I made it easy. They are in a vase. Make sure to take the yellow ones. Oh, and for a hint the bedroom is upstairs.”
The boy turned around to look at the woman.
“Look, there are windows upstairs. You will be able to hear me every step of the way. You just need to get up the stairs.”
The boy nods and walks towards the house once again. He puts his hand on the backdoor handle and turns it counter clockwise. He opens the door slowly and the inside of the house is revealed.
The house was normal, homey, and made the boy have that welcome feeling. The boy walked in relieved. He saw the stairs and walked towards them unafraid. He was tempted to run up the stairs before the man could do anything to him but the most important lesson he learned in training was to not rush the Warp.
The boy put his foot on the first step and the door behind him swung close.
The second step and he heard someone walking outside.
The third step a flash of a women dying was before him.
The fourth step his dad was in front of him with disappointment in his eyes.
The fifth step, he saw his family searching for him.
The six step, the day he ran away came to his mind and pierced his soul.
The seven step. The last step, he fell the floor with tears streaming down his eyes. He will never forget that day. The day he left his family. The day his mother died trying to search for him. That day will never leave his mind.
The boy heard loud bangs from the right of him. He turned his head and saw all the windows closing. He looked forward and just across the hall was the master bedroom. He forced himself to his feet and walked towards the room.
A vision of his mother in the hospital rushed through his memories. He fell into the room and caught himself on the dresser. The boy wipes his tears. He looks throughout the room and everywhere, on the bed, dresser, side table, desk, bookshelf, even on the floor were flowers. He looked for the yellow flowers and didn’t see them. The boy walked towards the bed in search for the yellow flowers. There were red, blue, purple, pink, orange, and even a black rose but no yellow.
Another vision hit the boy. His mom in her hospital bed doctors and nurses surrounding her and running around the room but the only sound he could hear was the heart monitor. The beep got slower and slower until it leveled and his mother was gone.
The vision stopped so he walked to the desk and looked at the flowers. On the desk there were all different colors of roses.
A flash of white hit his eyes and made him dizzy. Once he came to, the boy felt the floor under him. He propped himself up on his elbows and saw someone standing in front of him.
It was her, his mother. She was white, skinny, and shaking. She was looking at him with sadness.
The boy watched her in tears as her arm lifted and her fingers pointed. He looked to where her fingers led to and they pointed to the second drawer on the dresser.
The boy crawled his way over without taking his eyes off of her and opened the drawer.
Right in front of him, were the yellow flowers.
