he looked furious.

"What is he doing here?" Reid asked, annoyed. Kavin stormed through the glass doors and grabbed Reid by the shirt.

"Leave her alone. She's mine!" he shouted. I ran through the doors and into Brigid.

"I was just coming to get you, little sis. I would have warned you, but he was too fast. He followed us here."

I knew she was partially lying. She wanted to see them knock the teeth out of each other. Which they were doing. Kavin and Reid were fighting in the private room. Physically and verbally fighting. Over me. I didn't know whether to feel flattered or offended.

Jane and Lucy grabbed me and pulled me to the waiting car. I sat in the back with Lucy and Khloe. I found myself wiping tears from my eyes. Lucy was furiously texting.

"What are you doing?" Khloe tried to swipe Lucy's cell phone.

"They made her cry, and I'm telling Kavin just that." she answered. Again, I didn't know whether to be flattered or offended.

When we got home, I immediately headed to bed. We had been drinking a little bit, and the girls were forced to stay over. Brook was the least sober, but she was the only one with an official driver's license, and Mom was out with some new beau.

My phone dinged. It was from Kavin.

I love you. Please call me! I"m so sorry I made you upset. Please forgive me.

I didn't reply. Before I knew it, I was getting more texts from both of them. I cried myself to sleep.

Entitled

The next morning, I woke up with an awful headache. I looked at my phone. Sixteen texts from Reid, 180 texts from Kavin....

"Wait, what?" I  grabbed my phone again and started scrolling. It was all different things.  But nothing made sense. Indeed, Kavin sent me 180 texts. I looked outside, just because, and saw a familiar blonde-haired figure. He was rocking back and forth, and he was wearing the same clothes that he wore last night.

I was scared. Indefinitely. I stayed holed up until Jane appeared at my door.

"I take it you've seen him?"

"Yeah. What the fuck does he want with me."

"Your body, of course."

"Shut up."

"Brookie, you know it's true. He is obsessed with you."

I looked outside again. Kavin was preparing to throw a rock at my window. I opened the curtain a little more. Kavin paused and smiled at me. I closed the curtain. A rock hit the window. I ignored it. Instead, I headed into the bathroom. Lucy was taking a shower.

"You use Garnier Fructis? No wonder your hair is so pretty." she said.

"Thanks." I replied.

"I take it you've spotted him?"

"Yep."

"Sorry, Brook."

"It's not your fault."

"I can always pay the football posse to scare him."

"I might actually consider that."

"He's mad about you."

"You can say that again. He threw a rock at my window!"  Lucy laughed.

"It's not funny!"

"To someone who is not in your shoes, yes, it kind of is." she said.

I ignored her and tended to my teeth and hair.

"What's the plan for today?" I asked Lucy.

"Well, some of the girls and I are going shopping. We're also going to plan a dance."

"A school dance?"

"No silly, a private party. Everyone is invited. You can invite your friends from your old school."

"Sounds like fun." I jumped at the sound of Jane's voice.

"Eavesdropper." I called her.

"Drama queen." she said right back.

I went to my room, put on a black dress, and looked outside. I ran my fingers through my long black hair. I wrapped a hair elastic around my still-wavy hair. He was still there. He held up a bouquet of red roses.

"Oh, geez. Brook, honey, away from the window." My mother grabbed me by the shoulders and pulled me away. She leaned out the window.

"What do you want?" she asked him.

"Lemme talk to Brook. Please!" he called up.

"Not in a million years! In fact, not ever! Not even after you both die and you go to Hell!" my mother shut the window. She grabbed some black duct tape off of my desk and proceeded to make an X on the window.

"Brook, I don't want you talking to him. If he does that again, call me. And you are going back to your old school."

"Why?"

"Because I don't want him near you. On Monday, you'll go to school as usual. But you'll pack up your things and on Wednesday, you'll go back to Kensington High."

"Kensington High?" I groaned. My old school.

I wished I was already sixteen and licensed. So I could play hooky. I probably could already, but it would be impossible to get away with. I was still going to Glasse High, but only until the rest of the fricking year. I still had to deal with Kavin and Laci. I decided to ignore them as best I could.

And I tried to. I was holding my purse and books close to my chest as I walked down the hall to the Science Wing.
