claw in his upper shoulder as he struggles to move.

"Well..well....I knew you were an ignorant child but I never thought you would be ignorant to betray me..." Roberts says to Cole.

"It's time that maybe I don't have to rely on you for power...for I know what you're truly afraid of....you're afraid of them.." Cole says.

"Oh really....you think these mutants will disobey their master?" Roberts replies.

"It's like you told me*cough* they only consume.." Cole says as he gives a smirk. He gives a final gambit as he rips out the claw with his mouth and launches on him. Roberts struggles to take the nimble predator off as blood spurts from Cole's body. Roberts grabs the sickle knife and slices Cole's neck ending him right there. When he was done he looks at Chris and then the moans and groans stopped. The mutants can only stare at Roberts who is covered in dark red blood.

"FIGHT I SAY!!! KILL THEM ALL!!!" Roberts yells at the mutants but the mutants do not respond but crawl slowly staring at him.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!! KILL THE ANIMALS.....!!" Roberts yells at them again. Suddenly a mutant then launches its body at Roberts trying to get a grip as more continue to pile on. "NOO!!! NO!! I'M YOUR MASTER!!!! YOUR FATHER!!!" Robert's yells are dismissed by the cries of mutants. The mutant that consumed Monroe has wings now and glides over and with its elongated neck and giant beak drags Roberts away.

"CHRIS!!!!! THIS ISN'T OVER!!! I WILL FIND YOU!!!!!! YOU RUINED ME!!!!! YOU HEAR ME!!!!!! YOU WILL DIE BY MY HAND!!!!!" Roberts yells out as they disappear into the gorge.

Jacob looks up and waits as the sun sets..." YEAAAAAHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" Jacob roars as he is gathered by other animals. Reginald and Emma rush over by Chris as they try to pick him up.

"Chris...we won.." Emma whispers in his ear.

"You know....I'm glad you're my female friend." Chris says as he falls asleep.

Emma gives him a small nose rub on his head. The end of Roberts is over as the mutants are now gone from the Smoky Den.

Chapter 16: Finis

At the end of this story, there are a lot of things that happened and a lot of things have come and gone. From friends to enemies to new beginnings and old familiar endings animals have gone extinct and new species of animals are discovered. What happens to everyone at the end of the battle. Will this world of animals still have the faith and belief that everything will still go on?

A lot of days had passed by since the battle of Novis had occurred. Chris has been the new leader of the Smoky Den and has been communicating with the new leaders of many villages. One was of a bear in the frosty north, a Hyena in the desert, and of course his advisor and friend Jacob watching over New Silva York City.

Chris and Emma are now a couple despite the large gap of what they are; they enjoy each other's presence very much and promise to take care and watch over each other. Even if they are suffering deep down inside. A memorial dedicated to the fallen war heroes of the battle and the journey that Chris had were made in the 4 corners of the Smoky Den. It took a while but Dr. Ling and Claudia were able to carve out a rough wooden statue of Luke, Monroe, Cole, and Isaac. All those statues point in different directions in hopes to shine their hope and spirits all around the land. Chris looks up at them and even though they may be gone they still give inspiration to others. He is the new teacher to many predators and other animals who wish to learn to defend themselves and others. Reginald is still healing from his injuries but still wants to help by reconstructing the Smoky Den to make it larger and more accessible than the broken down they have been living in.

The new Smoky Den was larger covered with new logs and rocks making it larger. However the mutant problem is still around, mutants still scurry around the Earth without a leader but Chris has been trying to track them down and kill the Novis mutants to stop their pain and the dangerous power they can have absorbing natural animals. Despite this sadly he does grow sad and mellow that the job of mutants will not stop but he continues doing so in the name of his friends and the new life that is going on around him.

Chris walks out of the Smoky Den to be greeted by Jacob.

“Hey there Chris, I’ve been looking around and we still have no evidence that any Silva abnormal mutants are near the Smoky Den or the city. I believe they are now just living on the outskirts of other villages which we are now evacuating the defenseless ones and sending in fighters to deal with them. However despite these abnormal mutants they are more on the less strong side and just tend to die on the battlefield before they reach our troops. There is still one thing I am afraid of tough,”

“What seems to be the big problem?” Chris asks.

“Well we still have the huge unknown problem of where are they coming from and how are they reproducing. They do not seem to have *cough* mating organs, but yet they are some mutants that look like children that linger around taller individuals. Which could mean that these can be the parents of mutants? Although soon afterward the adult killed and began to eat the child mutant.”

Chris shakes his head. “Well I guess we'll just have to wait and see… what happens.” he then walks away toward the exit of the Smokey Den. He looks out to the sunset hearing the shouts of Roberts claiming he will have revenge echoing into his thoughts. Emma hops near him as he looks at her troubled partner.

“Hey is everything alright?” Emma asks Chris.

“Well...despite everything still, I don’t think Roberts is fully gone. He may have lost control of the mutants but I do not think he is fully dead. He is a strong individual that is powered by intelligence and hate. We will see him again, and next time we have many villages that will wish for his demise and fall.”

“You think that he’s still alive? The mutant that made off with him seemed pretty strong and the fact mutants are attracted to black blood he would have to be swarmed by most of them in the area...just don’t worry about it ok.” Emma says as she rubs her nose on Chris’s leg and hops away.

Chris still un-content with his mood he still looks deep into the horizon and enjoys this moment at this time. Tomorrow is another day, a new day, a new beginning for them.

At the same time far away Roberts slowly wakes up. He drifts from consciousness to unconscious as his eyes open, reality and dream becoming one. His dreams of him being in a cage and feeling that his body is not he continues to pop in his head until a clear image of seeing a primate in a cage with human Roberts injecting a serum into the cage. Suddenly Roberts wakes up in pain as dark individuals look down at him.

“What…..where… am I….? Are these the harbinger mutants…..to end my cause….”

Roberts falls back to sleep. The shadowy individuals drag him as Roberts blinks back to reality once more looking in the distance of multiple mutants heads on spears and arrows on many corpses. Later Roberts is dragged to a bed made out of twigs and wheat. He wakes up into shock as he sits up and looks at his saviors and their home. Their home was constructed of dried mud and sticks with bits of stone stacked on each other. Hides of animals and some mutants are shown hanging to dry.

“Can it be……..life restarting itself once more…? With evolution not only mutants roam the earth….but the neanderthals are now roaming the home once more. Roberts struggles to stand up as the cave people stand back making grunting noises in fear. They look up at him in awe as one individual gives a loud hoot, with another joining in. Soon more of them join the chorus as Roberts looks down back at them.

“It seems…. I am the larger creature out of all of them...Could it be perhaps I stand as a bipedal creature and they see me as the strongest one-” Roberts thought was cut off as he watches a grey jackal walking around the village as a neanderthal whistles it over. The jackal looks at the Neardanthal as he pets it. Roberts peers his eyes at it and sniffs at him, as his eyes grow tense and angry. He grabs a spear next time and hurls it with all his might. A large whooshing sound was made as he punctured the jackal's body instantaneously hurling him a good distance away from the natives and pinning the jackal. The jackal looks at Roberts as he then droops his head down and talks with him.

“Well...it seems…*cough*...you found me….Dr. Roberts…” the jackal says. Roberts then walks over as he pulls out the spear and drops it to the ground.

“I told you Sam….I do finish my promises….and I will finish my promise to Chris as well…..With these newfound assets, I believe I can be stronger without using unstable failed mutants, I can use these stronger and more viable children of nature.” Roberts says to himself as a bonfire is made by the caveman. He grabs Sam by the leg as he tosses him into the bonfire.

Sam’s yelps and howls of pain were drowned out by the screams and chants of the natives as his fur burns to a crisp and his flesh soon cooks and chars. One of the natives walks to him giving him a rock as he holds his hand and pulls him to walk to the bonfire. Roberts then takes the rock as he then cuts his hand draining the blood into the fire. The fire roars as if it is pleased giving the caveman a large yelp of relief.

“I am one of them….and now I can see truly with my eyes, that I am who I am and I am not what they made me. I am not who you made me the creator. I am not some mindless animal that just eats like a glutton. I am the chief of this tribe that will destroy Chris at all costs with no remorse and no mercy and with all the bloodshed heading his way. I am BUSTAH KRAKISHEN!!!!”

Bustah cries out to the night as he and the others dance over the bonfire. While they are doing this a small silver drone that has been recording them zooming in with its small camera, as it hovers over a bush observing them.

“That is all I need to see...Let us return to base alright.” A mysterious voice says from the mic. The drone soon hovers for a bit as it flies out of the village of the cavemen and then flies over many lands taking a snapshot of the Smoky Den, the highlands, the Grillington Gorge, and over New Silva
