What is a Narrative

A narrarive writing is telling a story about a specific event that has taken place.

The narrative is told in the order normally using transition words. 

 

Punctuation

 Just as with any other type of writing, punctuation is key to making sure the reader understands the writing. 

Details

 In any story, you want to know all the details. Without the details the story would be BORING. Don't make the story boring but make the story something exciting for the reader to read. 

 

Don't Copy

 In writing, use your own words. If you use someone else's words you are stealing from them unless you have their permission. 

Illustrations

 Adding an illustration or picture to the book/story makes the story more interesting. Use illustrations or pictures that go along with the story to help the reader visualize what you are writing about.
