he looked like that character from that cartoon show I used to watch when I was younger, the Flintrocks or something. He was short and kind of chubby, but he was around my age. Every bone in my body wanted to go over there and kill the fucker, but Riley had that cold look in her eye. I had a feeling Reese was about to make an appearance and I didn’t know how the club would take that. If they kicked her out I would follow, because no one was going to keep me from Riley. I would have to be dead.

As I watched, Rubble was getting more pissed because she wasn’t reacting the way he wanted her to. She was shorter than him and he had a lot of weight over her, but I don’t think that would bother Reese much at all. Next thing I knew, he pushed her into the corner, got into her face, and was trying to kiss her. I went to move, but faster than I could blink, she had him laid out on the floor while pushing the same knife she used to trail my body with, into his throat. If I wasn’t mistaken, there was some blood trickling down his neck too.

“You are one stupid motherfucker, if I do say so myself. If I didn’t know any better, you are trying to get yourself killed.” Oh yeah. That was definitely Reese. Her voice had a huskier tone to it than Riley’s, and it was a whole lot colder too. I got the fucking chills just from hearing her talk. It actually kind of fucking turned me on. Shit. Was that considered cheating? I fucking hoped not. How the fuck I kept finding myself in these situations I would never know, but here we were.

If I didn’t stop Reese, she would most likely kill Rubble. Considering she killed people like that while she was on the run, I have no doubt Reese had no fear of a motorcycle club coming down on her for killing one of their own. Although, he was quite the sick bastard if he thought he was gonna push himself on her and not get the shit beat out of him by the rest of us. Or at least me.

“Riley!” I barked out, since I couldn’t exactly call her Reese at the moment. She looked up at me but Rubble was still firmly pinned on the ground. She smirked at me with the smallest lilt to her lips and shrugged her shoulders. Backing away and sitting on the couch while running her knife up and down her thigh seductively, Rubble looked at her like she was a whole other being. My heart was racing, but I heard footsteps thundering down the hallway, so I didn’t have time to think into it too much. Reese’s switch was instantaneous. It amazed me how smoothly and quickly her transition went. She hid her knife quickly and she started fretting, looking back and forth between me and Rubble. I knew what she was thinking. She thought that Rubble was going to out her to the club. Not happening.

I got to Rubble just as Snake came around the corner. “Wanna tell me what the fuck is goin’ on out here?” I pushed Rubble to the middle of the floor and snapped.

“Go ahead, motherfucker. Why don’t you tell Snake exactly what happened.” He was looking nervous now and I watched in satisfaction as a drop of sweat dripped down his neck. Good, I hoped he was fucking shaking in his boots. I couldn’t believe this fuck felt it was okay to try and push himself on a woman. Much less, my fucking woman.

The murderous rage I felt was sparking through my veins like lightning attracted to metal. As he replayed the events, Snake had the same look of rage in his eyes. I couldn’t help but feel a little bit of excitement that I was going to be able to put some of this rage somewhere instead of bottle it up like usual. As soon as that thought popped up, Rage came around the corner. His arctic chill he brought along with him was downright shit-your-brains-out scary, even though I knew that shit wasn’t pointed at me.

“So, you think it is okay to force yourself on women, huh? Bullet, how do you feel about him pushing himself on your ol’ lady?” Rage asked me. The question was rhetorical, but I responded anyway.

“I would like to fucking chop his dick off and shove it down his god damn throat,” I ground out through my clenched teeth. We don’t stand for that type of shit around here. Nor do we stand for drugs of any kind. Rage grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and dragged him to the basement door. He looked at me with a question in his eyes. I nodded to let him know I would be there in a minute.

There was a room down there that was always ready for whatever kind of shit we had to put people through, whether it was questioning or punishments of some sort, that was where we did it. The room was soundproof too. That always helped. Rubble tried to beg for forgiveness, his pride shriveling up right in front of everyone. I went over to Riley to make sure she was alright. I didn’t want to be around her with the rage strumming through my veins, but I had to at least make sure my woman was alright.

“You okay, darlin’? I know that was a shit position you were in.” I took a deep breath and brought her hand to my mouth and kissed each knuckle, hoping it would help calm both of us from the physical contact. It amazed me how soft her skin was compared to my rough and calloused hands. She took a shaky inhale of breath and held it for a couple seconds. When she let it go, it was like
