Drops from Heaven fall
Like an angel’s tear,
Caresses my face
With a lover’s touch.

Sighing, I close my eyes,
Let the wind whisper to me
Sweet words in my ear
As the rain came down.

Pain stabs in my chest.
I try not to lose myself.
The gentle rain teases
As the inner turmoil rages.

Still, the rain falls softly
Onto my burning heart.
So ironic the beauty is
Of this rain falling on me.

I look to the skies
As the rain pours down,
And my face is masked
So my tears fall free.
