You've broken my heart countless times but never have I said a thing. Is it really worth all this pain? Why do I even care? So what you've hurt me, so what I've cried, but you've always brought me through in the end. When we fought, when I just plum refused to apologize, it took a kind and understanding soul that knew both sides of the story. That kind soul helped me realize what I was doing. She helped me to gain the courage to say "I'm sorry, I never wanted to hurt you." I felt joy nothing can amount to when you said "Yes." Since then its been delicate and rocky, but less so every day. I hope that kind, understanding soul realizes how much she helped me. Like that poem I wrote just for you:
You've broken my heart, you've been my wall, you've helped me heal the pain.
I hope you know, just when I said I was sick of it all, I was telling the truth. I hope you can learn to trust me again. You are unique. You are yourself. You don't care what people think. I'm glad I have the pride to just be your friend, no matter what life throws at either one of us, I'll be there for you even though you might not see that I don't care what happened, I just want us to be friends again.
You've sort of lost your trust in me, that I can plainly see. But what I really want is for all this to blow over. I don't want to dwell on the past. The past is a dangerous place. Its full of hurt and anger and confusion. And just when the past hurt seems to be almost over, more is hurled your way. I hope you know I hate to fight, I hate to argue, I hate to hurt, I hate to cry. I hate to live on a foundation that's broken and cracked.
The foundation to every friendship is trust, and when that trust is broken, so is the friendship. Our trust is broken. You don't ignore a house with a broken foundation. Why is a friendship different? Its no different. You cannot possibly say its different.
The walls to every friendship are honesty. I know your t totally 100% honest. And I hope you can say the same for me. You can't live in a home with no walls. You can't have a friendship without honesty. Its that simple.
The roof to every friendship is love. You simply don't live in a house without a roof. So is the same as having a friendship without love. Love pulls people together. It is essential in a friendship.
The rooms to every friendship are the times they spend together. You cannot find a single house on the market without rooms. It just don't happen like that. So it should be with friends. No friendship lasts without togetherness and closeness.
I hope you can see what you mean to me. I love you like a sister. I really hope you feel the same way about me. I love you.
