Undisturbed

Churning up dark and still waters,
it slowly chugs forward,
straight forward;
Trailing behind in its wake,
a gurgling spray, a foaming wave
of turmoil.
In a long moment it’s gone,
as if it has never been there,
has never come by,
and has never upset;
Under the moon lies undisturbed
once more the vast glistening mass
of silvery light.
