Book online «Goodbye My Earth, Mossy [sight word readers TXT] 📗». Author Mossy

This Book is an alternate world setting for some issues and feelings that the 9/11 hijackers may have gone through. I do not mean to justify there actions, merely to, through my words portray an aspect of September 11th rarely given the attention that it deserves.
- Mossy

Goodbye My Earth
I.
goodbye my child
goodbye my cat
goodbye myself
goodbye my earth

i let it go without a tear
i let it go without a sigh
i let it go when that button i did press
to my earth i said goodbye

the day the bomb fell
the last day of this earth
the last hour of this age
the last chance to say goodbye

the war was ended
is it worth it's end?
with it ends this earth,
this age, this last chance to say goodbye

that war ended all war
it ended love it ended hate
but what lies beyond?
nothing?

the last war
the last flower
the last scream
the last chance to say goodbye

II.
goodbye my child
goodbye my cat
goodbye myself
goodbye my earth

i let it go without a tear
i let it go without a sigh
i let it go when that button i did press
to my earth i said goodbye

once i thought that peace is good
once i thought this world kind
once i thought that people cared when soldiers die
once i thought no one should say goodbye

i was born and sent to Acadamy
were we learned to kill, to hate, to be alone
no name, a number
and i was taught to say goodbye

at eleven all were sent to Academy to learn to say goodbye
i learned that i was nothing
i learned that death is kind
i learned to say goodbye

III.
goodbye my child
goodbye my cat
goodbye myself
goodbye my earth

i let it go without a tear
i let it go without a sigh
i let it go when that button i did press
to my earth i said goodbye

i grew in hate
i grew in fear
i grew in rank
i grew in years

the first time i saw the sky
i killed a thousand on that day
the first time i saw a flower
i ground it in the mud

i ran one day i took for the hills
i hated to hate
i hated to kill
i hated to leave

i found many of my sort
roaming in the hills
i learned to care
i learned to not say good bye

IV.
goodbye my child
goodbye my cat
goodbye myself
goodbye my earth

i let it go without a tear
i let it go without a sigh
i let it go when that button i did press
to my earth i said goodbye

i learned that peace is good
i learned that earth is kind
i learned that people care when soldiers die
i learned that no one should say goodbye

earth had two sides
each fought the other without pause
my child was born
to a world torn

for as long as time
the two had fought
no end seemed to be in sight
no cared about the wast of life

earths over population made death no big deal
no cared no one shed a tear
i learned in Lauala's first year
that all those people had said goodbye

V.
goodbye my child
goodbye my cat
goodbye myself
goodbye my earth

i let it go without a tear
i let it go without a sigh
i let it go when that button i did press
to my earth i said goodbye

and then the soldiers came
they killed my cat
my friends
my spouse
my child, Lauala

Lauala were are you now
i have traveled all the world
and no one cares if it rains
if the flowers bloom
if their hands are covered in blood

my child, no one cares
my child, no one will listen
my child, all of them kill, every day
they don't care about their children

they don't care that you died
they don't care that i lived
they don't care if the world ends
for they have learned to say goodbye

and if i have to say goodbye to earth
to stop this killing
this suffering
this lack of caring

i will say good bye

goodbye my child
goodbye my cat
goodbye myself
goodbye my earth

i let it go without a tear
i let it go without a sigh
i let it go when that button i did press
to my earth i said goodbye

VI.
the war was ended
is it worth it's end?
with it ends this earth,
this age, this last chance to say goodbye

that war ended all war
it ended love it ended hate
but what lies beyond?
nothing?

the last war
the last flower
the last scream
the last chance to say goodbye

goodbye my child
goodbye my cat
goodbye myself
goodbye my earth

i let it go without a tear
i let it go without a sigh
i let it go when that button i did press
to my earth i said goodbye
