The Dreamer

I, once, aspired to become a part of this beautiful harmony. Yet that was so long ago, much too far in the past. Now my choir of friends is separated. Some voices stayed, some left. Some departed before their time, such as mine, to a supposedly wonder-filled future. I no longer hear our songs, I no longer see our beauty. I no longer know our incomparable unity. I cannot laugh at our silliness while we play. I cannot feel the love they poured into their songs, each note being placed perfectly into a portrait of music. My time has finished, only my elusive memories remain. The joy of sharing music with the world remains. Soft echos of heartfelt songs remain. The love of our family, our fading souls remain.

My future has been bright, the sacrifice for it unexplainable. Yet, I aspire once again.
