IT’S OKAY.

After all that happened and how it ended,
It’s okay.
Even though you treated me that way,
Every scar you left and every bruise you made,
It doesn’t hurt anymore so,
It’s okay.
I’m in a better place,
Living better days,
So mama, really,
It’s okay.

No GLOW

They start bright
Shining as though the grandest source of light
Never turning gray and fading away
But sometimes they give it away
Sharing the light and allowing others to show their rays
But then they get a little dimmer each day
More and more glow with their rays
But the others start to turn gray
And slowly fade away but that’s the price you pay
When you trust to easily in those that say
I’ll glow for you till the end of our days like you did for me those cold lonely days
But it’s a lie and I know it will make you cry
But don’t glow, don’t let that young doe eyed spirit show
Because if you do there will be no glow left to show

Neon Sign

It really was sad the way our love faded
Like bulbs in a neon sign as the lights slowly flickered
Holding on to what they had
Grasping to save it
But they went out
Leaving both of us in the dark
Not knowing which way we were facing
Not knowing how to get out
Trapped in the dark
Like a burnt out neon sign

Keeping The Pure Inside

Looking outside and seeing how much pain there actually was
People fighting
Children crying
And dreams dying
Always being locked inside away from the bad always in the good
Realizing how much she was trying
To always keep me being happy never crying
To keep me alive and all my dreams pure inside

Peaches

We walked through that peach tree farm every day to and from school
Always skipping and holding hands since we were 6 years old
You would pick a peach from the tree and place it in my hand
Never saying why and walking on ahead
I would always glance at you then at that peach
Making me smile and wonder inside
Why did he always do this?
Never skipping a day all of those 10 years
3653 peach seeds I saved
And I was thinking of planting them by your grave
“I actually hate peaches,” you bluntly stated “, but you would smile every time we passed bye and
When I made you smile I always felt good inside.” Every time I recall the memory I laugh inside
Dying that Sunday before your birthday
Thinking about it always makes me cry
Something that could have not happened and you still be here
Handing me peaches these three past years

Lips coated with a secret

Eyes that reveal nothing at all
But everything at once
Midnight black pupils overlay pure white eyes
Features still and stiff afraid to move
For it could be her last expression
Skin rich and soft as ivory
Lips pursed together
A secret coats her lips
One that has been there forever
And will stay there forever

Waiting day after day

The placid sky is traced with cream clouds,
The sea’s breeze reaches the shore,
It is quiet, nothing is around.
All of the people have scattered and now it’s only me.

The sea’s breeze reaches the shore,
I keep looking, thinking I’ll see that boat coming in,
All of the people have scattered and now it’s only me,
One year it’s been now but I can’t let it be.

I keep looking, thinking I’ll see that boat coming in,
Waiting at the dock day after day, I won’t give up,
One year it’s been now but I can’t let it be,
The promise you made still resides in me, I’ll see you soon just wait for me.

Waiting at the dock day after day, I won’t give up,
I’ll see you somehow, someway,
The promise you made still keeps me at bay,
Don’t worry I say as I talked to your grave that winters day.

The seas breeze reaches the shore and the placid sky shines just a little more.

Not a quack

I’m not crazy, I’m just a visionary.
I wear socks all the way to my knees,
Because it helps me not to sneeze.

I won’t eat pudding during the day
Because if I do…
I think we will all melt away

And at night
I watch the coo coo birds take flight
Cus’ in the morning it makes everything bright

So I may be a little whack
But remember we travel in packs
So think before calling me a quack

I’m just as normal as you
Except I have a dash more weird than you
Maybe two

Spring Rain

The thunder bangs and lightening crashes
Destroying all life in its path
Cries from far and near reach the stars
Birds scatter from the trees
The rain clangs against the tin roof
A consistent melodious noise
And in an instant it’s over
The following day a celebration of spring begins
Flutes of cherry blossom trees whisper a melody
Children form a circle and sway their limbs to the beat
All move to the music
A light airy noise that persuades you with its sweet addictive sound
