Golden Moments


This evening the aura
in the house is heavy,
curtained in golden tones.
My eyes are burning, drowning
in pools of tears.

You saunter down the path
leaving me.
Dare I take a risk, call out,
so you may witness
my undraped heart, exposed.

You have bewitched me,
beloved,body and soul.
Oh how I long to whisper
asking you to stay,
never abandon me.

Oh heart be still
do not give me away.
If he shared our love,
he dare not leave
I ask he not take pity on me


Have I lingered to long?
You are no longer in view ,
I wish I had found my voice
to freely call out to you,
to tell you of my love.
