Rapidly racing pulse

Scintillating sensations

Tingly, tangled feelings

Understanding dawns

Hearts never lie

Questions

Is it arrogant of me to wonder

what will happen when I'm gone?

Am I being pompous to ponder

how this old world will carry on?

What will life be like without me

for those who have held me dear?

What will their new interests be

once from this earth I disappear?

These questions bring torment

these uncertainties cause doubt

I shared this emotional torrent

it's what I've been thinking about

Now, I've gotten it off my chest

there is no reason to remain sad

I can finally have peace and rest

my mind unburdened, I feel glad

God willing, I've many years left

I'll embrace each sweet moment

Of living, I shall never feel bereft

heavenly faith makes me content

The Whirlwind Of Life

As dust storms blow through my life

God gives me the strength to survive

Trials come to test me, then they go

it's hard to know who is friend or foe

I keep my faith, despite the adversity

when I feel the chill surrounding me

Storms in the whirlwind of life

blowing and shifting

twirling and lifting

away on clouds of dust

Storms in the whirlwind of life

swirling and sifting

floating and drifting

along on gusts of wind

As I fly and soar sky high

God will stand by my side when I need

and nurse all my wounds when I bleed

I feel the surge from winds of change

pulling and tugging me, they rearrange

Topsy turvy, on His breeze I am blown

forcing me away from my comfort zone

Storms in the whirlwind of life

blowing and shifting

twirling and lifting

away on clouds of dust

Storms in the whirlwind of life

swirling and sifting

floating and drifting

along on gusts of wind

As I fly and soar sky high

Spiraling and whirling

spinning out of control

Over the mountaintops

into galaxies unknown

This tornado called life

This hurricane called life

This earthquake called life

The Ocean

Blue waters beckon

inspiring poets to write

calming and healing

The Wind

One knows not from whence

the wind comes or where it goes

it moves so freely

although we do not see it

we can still feel its presence
