Chapter 1

The morning sunrise is a breathtaking display of radiant colors. Bright streaks of red, pink, and orange stealthily took over the dark blue and purple of the twilight sky. For him, the sky resembled a prism; all the colors blended perfectly into each other.

The sun peeking out of the horizon with its brilliant rays began to shine brightly and warm the air. The glistening reflection of the sun on the ocean brought to her a thrilling feeling of extreme happiness.

Watching the sunrise from the mountain is a wonderful experience that could stay in your memory forever. It took him hours to see the extent of the landscape. Looking over the dark cliff of mountains he could see the sun rising in brilliant colors through the trees.

The sky lit up in shades of red, orange, yellow, and pink. The thin morning clouds pillowed through the sky without obstructing the sunrise to their usual extent. As the birds flew through the sky passing through the rays of light their flapping wings were quick to catch his attention.

Sitting on the mountain peak watching the day unfold he thought of how he never wanted to be there. The branches of the trees were positioned just to let a few rays pass through as if they were to escape from a prison inside of the sun.

The rays illuminated everything they touched with beauty, color, and life. The earth began to glow in the golden light as the sun rose higher and higher in the sky.

When they roamed over the side of the mountain, they came upon a fairly small lake. But what it lacked in size it made up for in vibrant color and clarity. But this time the sun was just past the top of the sky and it cast its golden rays across the lake just as the wind rippled the clear blue water.

The rippling water shinned and shimmered in the sunlight as the subtle little creatures came out to bask in the beauty of the sky. The whole scene was so captivating Vel could not help but longed to be a part of it. The yearning didn't last long because he was unable to resist and he waded through the peaceful lagoon.

Vel could see tiny fishes swimming through the thin stems of water plants. Tadpoles with their tiny gills reached the surface to breathe air. Vel remembered as a little boy how he would boast about his catch till his granny found out they were only tadpoles. The tiny fish nibbled on his soles and tickled him.   Vel waved at Charu.

“Come and join me!” He invited Charu with a twinkle in his eyes.

“No way” Charu replied stubbornly.

“You will never get a chance again to explore this wonderful opportunity. Our cities have artificial swimming pools only.”

After fussing for a while, she reluctantly joined him. The cold water sent through her waves of excitement. Holding Vel’s hand for safety, she waded through the water slowly. The pebbles in the water moved with her steps and disturbed the tiny fish and crabs that hid under them.

Tickled by the bites of the tiny fish, she shifted her legs. Suddenly a bigger pebble gave away, and she slipped on to the water. Charu fell into the shallow water with a thump spluttering water all around. Vel could not control his laughter.

“Be careful.” He lifted her with ease. Charu blushed and moved away from him. She looked around to see if anyone stood there watching them. Luckily no one was there.

Most of the people from the nearby villages at that time were busy collecting firewood or honey in the forests.   Till noon no one roamed around that lake. After spending their time hard in searching for wood or honey, they usually rushed back to their huts.

At times when they complete collecting wood early before noon, they preferred to have a dip in the lake before reaching home.

Chapter 2

The chillness of the water sent a shiver through his skin.   His body literally trembled for a while.  Yet, he loved to immerse for a while and enjoy the bliss of water that is pure and non-polluted by the dust and debris of the urban life.

A smile twisted his facial muscles with happiness when he thought about the wonderful time he spent the day with her.  Those passionate moments made him think of the early men who lived inside dense forests and shared their lives with nature.

The nature provided them the bliss of happiness in spite of hard life and risks from the wild animals.

Vel looked at the moving clouds in the sky. Drifting slowly, they told him to enjoy the time at hand.

"Are you still here?"  exclaimed a lad.  He carried loads of fruits plucked from the forest.  Vel could smell the fresh fruits and flowers from the baskets on his bicycle.

"Wait, wait.  Let me join you"  Vel waded out of the water.

Within seconds he wiped himself dry, and changed into a pair of dry clothes.

"You look water starved" the lad giggled at him.

"True.  Nothing can give you this pleasure."  Vel looked at his collection of fruits.

"Your fruits looks so colorful."  Vel exclaimed.

The basket contained different types of fruits with rich colors of red, yellow, orange, purple and green.  The flowers bright with varied colors spread their fragrance around.

Vel breathed in the flavors of sweet smelling flowers and fruits.   The freshness of those fruits and flowers lingered in his eyes and he felt hungry and the craving to eat those fresh fruits.

Vel chose the most juicy fruit from the basket and started to eat after shaking away the dry leaves on its skin.

"You look starved for food also" the lad once again giggled.

Vel did not reply him and he was completely engrossed in munching and chewing the fruit with all its flavor.

Chapter 3

The sight was magnificent! Vel felt hidden in the clouds! Lush greenery and the sound of rain hitting so loud, was scary and thrilling, all at the same time. Complete fog, no visibility. It was just 4 pm. No one around. Not even a small creature. The roaring rain and wild wind amidst lush greenery accompanied them.

Vel ran and stood under a tree. They could see only a thick dense forest. They were barely 200 metres away from their cottage, but due to the fog they couldn’t see.

In minutes, they were completely drenched, clothes sticking tight, hair completely wet and their teeth chattering. Vel looked at Charu. Both could feel the sound of their throbbing hearts.

Mintues later, they were lying on the dark wet slushy mud. The view above was the canopying dark green tree, backed by an infinite potable grey sky stretching beyond eternity that enhanced the sense of ice cold rain droplets falling on them a little by little.

It was bliss; they smiled at each other. Vel never felt so powerful, so fiercely one with nature.

He could feel the thrill, exploding sexual sensation and the nature in its most ferocious, pure form covering them with bliss. It was divine. Vel wanted to dissolve in that moment, capture the essence forever. It was an indescribable pleasure.  Charu also felt the same. A blushing smile gave him the permission to enjoy the bliss of love.

Chapter 4

Vel could relate to the natural rhythm while gazing at the moving clouds in the sky.  He remembered reading an article.

Life's Natural Rhythm - Universal Timing by Madisyn Taylor

Slowing down and listening to your own natural rhythm can quickly connect you to the Universe.

Nature’s natural rhythms orchestrate when day turns to night, when flowers must bloom, and provides the cue for when it is time for red and brown leaves to fall from trees. As human beings, our own inner rhythm is attuned to this universal sense of timing. Guided by the rising and setting of the sun, changes in temperature, and our own internal rhythm, we know when it is time to sleep, eat, or be active. While our minds and spirits are free to focus on other pursuits, our breath and our heartbeat are always there to remind us of life’s pulsing rhythm that moves within and around us.

Moving to this rhythm, we know when it is time to stop working and when to rest. Pushing our bodies to work beyond their natural rhythm diminishes our ability to renew and recharge. A feeling much like jet lag lets us know when we’ve overridden our own natural rhythm. When we feel the frantic calls of all we want to accomplish impelling us to move faster than is natural for us, we may want to breathe deeply instead and look at nature moving to its own organic timing: birds flying south, leaves shedding, or snow falling. A walk in nature can also let us re-attune is to her organic rhythm, while allowing us to move back in time with our own. When we move to our natural rhythm, we can achieve all we need to do with less effort.

We may even notice that our soul moves to its own internal, natural rhythm – especially when it comes to our personal evolution. Comparing ourselves to others is unnecessary. Our best guide is to move to our own internal timing, while keeping time with the rhythm of nature.
