Sitting there I quickly change my normal colored sparkly blue eyes into a muddy brown so no one knows who exactly I am. Opening my eyes I see my teacher starring at me. Picking up my pencil I write the notes on the board. I can’t wait to get out of here, I thought to myself starring down at my neat cursive handwriting.
“Class today we have a special quest with a special announcement,” Ms. Potter sung happily to the class. Looking up from my paper my eyes rested on the door that would soon open, I could feel a presence on the other side. Scowling I looked over at my teacher doing the same to me, we despise each other. Giving me the death glare she walked over to the door and put on a bright smile opening it. Still scowling I watched the door open and in came Mr. Perfect, the prince. Great, I screamed in my head. Banging my head on the desk I try not to look up. Only he can tell it’s me by looking at me, blue eyes or not.
“Well Ms. Potter’s class, I, Prince Dominic, am happy to tell you that you all are invited to my ball. I hope you can all attend,” he announced and I couldn’t help but love his voice, pure music to my ears. No what am I saying, I thought to myself.
“Ms. Blake look up, it’s rude to ignore guest,” Ms. Potter spat at me. Shaking my head into the desk I made a mental note, don’t do that it hurts.
“Ms. Blake now,” she yelled and I groaned looking up but quickly looking away.
“Your eyes there different,” Amanda exclaimed and I thought I would die right there. Quickly I blink and my eyes go back to the muddy brown.
“I know who she is,” Miranda confessed to no one. I shot a look at her and she covered her mouth.
“Miranda, what do you mean,” Ms. Potter asked nicely, unlike herself.
“What do I get if I tell you,” she retorted afraid of telling Ms. Potter now.
“NO homework what-so-ever,” she proclaimed and I saw Miranda slump in defeat. She looked over at me with an apologetic face and walked up to the front of the class next to the prince.
“She is hiding her true eye color I saw, she is the princess that ran away.” Groaning I banged my head against the desk again.
“She’s lying,” Amanda proclaimed, and I was thankful until Prince Dominic was next to my desk. Forcing me to look up I saw Dominic up close, he pushed his finger amongst my head and I felt my eyes go back to the sparkly baby blue. Quickly I close my eyes and shake my head, no he can’t know.
“Talk,” Dominic commanded softly and I shook my head again.
“Ms. Blake talk or I’ll do it again,” Ms. Potter barked, and my eyes shot wide open.
“Yes,” I asked quietly, and Dominic’s eyes widen to the same point as mine.
“Addison,” he asked heart brokenly, and I was the one to blame, running away. Nodding I look over to Ms. Potter who was dumbfounded.
“That’s not Addison, that rude little girl is Amber,” Ms. Potter protested. Groaning I changed my eyes back to the muddy brown.
“Right, I’m Amber, who is this Addison person,” I asked in a weird voice but Dominic just starred at me.
“Why,” he questioned and my eye brows pulled together. Looking around the room I noticed everyone’s eyes were on me. Standing up from my desk I took Dominic’s hand and everyone gasped. Rolling my eyes I dragged myself and him into the hallway. Walking over to my locker I leaned against it and adverted my eyes around the hall so they wouldn’t land on Dominic. Opening my mouth I tried to master up words but they didn’t come out so I closed my mouth and narrowed my eyes at Dominic. After a moment of hesitation I found my voice.
“Do you know how it feels to have heavy blocked amongst your shoulders, like it’s the world and if they dropped you die. Each day a little more weight adds onto it, and addiction to that your parents despise you.” He nodded.
“Truthfully, I do, ever since you ran away I found it even harder, Addison, you need to come back,” Dominic pleaded and I looked into his eyes, the pleading just continued and I couldn’t help but to nod.
