False Alarm, Crasanda [management books to read .txt] 📗

Great. Thanks. Lovely. You opened up MY book. Don't take me wrong that you're reading this and I don't appreciate it. It's just that.... I never expected anyone to actually be like, okay I'm going to open this book up and read it. SO, I'll get on with the story now. P.S Don't judge my life.

I threw open my locker and shoved my kickboxing bag in. I blew out a breath. Today was the match and my manager wasn't going to be there. I HATE my manager. The only reason I stick with him because he's the only one willing to train girls. Well, he's the only trainer I've met who's interested in training me. I'm not late for school today. When I'm over with it, I'll be throwing parties for the rest of the year and the only ones invited will be me. Ha!

I looked at my schedule and pulled out all the textbooks I needed for that day.

A lot of me said to go home and call it a night while the other half of me said to get it over with. I'm a bright student at school and stuff but my life's too busy.

In the morning, I go to the training gym and train for an hour. I come back home and take a bath and get ready for school. After school, go to the cafe and work. AFTER the job, come home, eat dinner and finish homework. Finally, go to sleep. Then repeat.

You must be like, well if your life's so busy just take kickboxing out. I can't. Kickboxing is like a disease. And I've caught the Kickboxing disease.

I locked my locker and walked down the hallways of Tokenville High School. Home of the Trojans. School colors are purple, yellow and white. The same ol' cheerleaders and the same ol' football players. Adding 'Home of The Trojans' doesn't make a difference I guess. You'll still find the same ol' students like anywhere else. Not any buff guys wearing golden metal armor and sandals.

I walked into my first class. Geography. I took my seat in the middle seat as always. I pulled my pen out, with my notebook and textbook. Mr.D sat at his desk, staring at his computer screen with his mouth open. You could say he's one of those "obsessive science jerk teachers". I dunno why he's teaching Geography when he loves science so badly.

I still had ten more minutes before the "jocks" entered the classroom. Even if they didn't come... it still would be the same.

I still had twenty more minutes before the "players" came. Even if they didn't come.... we would still be the Trojans.

I still had thirty more minutes before the "Girly girls" came. Even if they didn't come.... we would still all be ugly.

Passing time in class in Geography is easy. Sleeping is allowed in Mr.D's class. He says it's our choice if we want to learn but he highly does not recommend it. Having the guts to do it, depends on what group you were categorized to. For example, the girly girls can't do it because they wouldn't want their hair to be ruined. The jocks and players wouldn't be able to do it because they were too busy flirting with the girls.

Surprisingly, I'm categorized in THREE different groups.
1. Athletes
2. Tomboys/ girl skaters
3. Virgins

I think it's fair enough. I don't want to change any of it.

Five minutes had passed by and that's the exact time when Mr.D gets up and hobbles his way to the washroom. He doesn't shoot me a glance like ever. Just walked out the room like every other day. That's the exact time when I pull out my book but not that day. I pulled out my Geography notebook and scribbled random things on it.

Did I mention I have this thing that's kinda like spider sense but I'm not Spidermsn or anything. I just get a feeling when somebody I'm not used to walks into a radius of 10 meters around me. Sometimes farther. That day was the day when I least expected it.

Somebody rushed into the door frame of the classroom. I looked up from my graffiti filled page to see Austin. Austin Walker. One of the popular guys of our school. Also one of the players.

I checked my watch. Players weren't supposed to be here for like five more minutes! I looked up to see his eyes dart across the room and settle on me. Wow. First time someone actually looked at me.

I had moved here to California about a month ago. Basically, what I'm saying is popular boys are blind. And deaf.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here? A newbie." said Austin loudly. It was loud enough to have Mr.D huddling back but he didn't.

I bit my lip and rolled my eyes. More like a Belated-newbie. Ha. Ha. Ha. I know it's not funny but c'mon! Let me live my life here!

Austin walked over to the desk over to me and flipped the chair over and sat down in front of me.

"You're a pretty

girl." said Austin snickering at the word "pretty".

"Thank you." I shrugged and went back to doodling on my notebook.

"I could show you around the school, if you want." offered Austin flexing his right arm's muscle.

I sighed in boredom. "I've been here for three weeks. I know the school"

Austin looked surprised and shot me a glance.

"I could show you around town." he offered with a mischievous grin. I knew what he was thinking.

"Nah, I have to go to work after school and then I have to do my homework." I told him.

"How about drop you off at school?" asked Austin anxiously.

"Nop

. I have kickboxing." I said popping the "p" in "Nop".

"How about a Paaarrtttaaaay on Sataurday?" he asked rolling his eyes.

"I hate parties." I said simply.

"Not this one, babe."

"What?"

"Nothing. What I meant was maybe out for lunch on Sunday?" he asked willingly.

I shrugged. It wasn't going to be a date or anything. Just lunch. I like that.

"Sure. But has to be before one o' clock." I warned him.

Austin grinned.

"Anything for a sweetheart." with that he got up and walked out the room lazily.

He forgot to take my number. I shrugged.

Maybe I won't have lunch with him.

That's when he came back with a permanent marker.

He took my hand and wrote down his number. He put his hand out and gave the marker.

I sighed and wrote down the number on his hand.

Austin grinned again and walked out of the room with a smile on his face. I raised my eyebrows.

Wow.

My alarm clock buzzed with loud anger. I turned it off and sat up. I wasn't one of those lazy girls.

A long time ago, I learned that in order to be successful, you can't be lazy. The End.

I bolted out of bed and headed into my washroom.

I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I walked out of the washroom and headed for my closet.

My closet is average size. No bigger. I guess I'm just one of those average people.

I yawned and pulled out a hanger. The hanger had my training clothes hanging on it. I had washed it yesterday so it should be fresh and ready to go. ****look at what she's wearing:

I changed into my clothes and tied my running shoes. I smiled at the memory of how I got them. But that's a whole different story.

I pulled out my Sony headphones from my study desk with my phone and played some music.

I lightly jogged down the stairs towards the fridge. I pulled out a bottle of water and closed the fridge shut.

I ran out of the house, locking the door behind me. I jogged down the steps of my house and down the street.

I played "Rock Me" by One Direction while I ran.

I had ran three miles when I stopped to catch my breath.

Today was Friday. The only day I didn't go to train in the morning.

Friday was the day I jogged.

I turned around to face the building I had stopped in front of. The same one. Every time.

My thoughts always carry me here.

The stadium where I lost my mom. Forever.

I blew out a breath and tried to float away from the memories of the night it happened.

It's hard when you're standing right in front of it.

I shook my head and jog down the sidewalk towards an open park. Finally, the perfect place I can lose myself.
