I decided to make a diary. Why? I have absolutely nothing to do, but drink blood. I'm not that thirsty right now, so this takes up my time. Maybe I can save this diary for the future when I die, so people can read it.

Haha! Just messing with you. I'm immortal. I can't die. All that onion stuff is a bunch of hullabaloo. Oh yeah, I have to introduce myself. I'm Katarina. How old am I? Not your average age. If you want to know, I'm two hundred and sixty-three years old. I'm considered a young vampire.

Aren't you really old, you ask? I look like an average teenager. I'm going to look like that for eternity. Well, vampires are considered as fiction in novels, and your human movies. Well I'll tell you. I'm real. The reasons for all the murders in town? Me.

I'm not a lovable immortal. I kill many humans everyday. It's not easy to hide my thirst. I don't want to kill them, but it's just me. That's what vampires were made to be right? I do care about "innocent children that I'm killing" (as stated in the newspaper). My situation is kind of like this. A Christian who wants to go to heaven instead of hell when they die, and they find it hard to stop sinning. They repent, but do continue to do the same sinful act. Meaning whenever I'm thirsty, I go for it, but try to stop. But I end up killing again.

Enough with the scariness, I don't go to high school. That's because I don't need high school. Me, fit in with mortals? Not possible, I think I'll pass. My parents? Dead. Five hundred and sixty-five years ago, due to the battle of the hordes. I don't feel like explaining. I live on my own.

I'm the only vampire in existence. Well that I know of. Trust me, I've done my research. Would I ever turn someone into a vampire? Nope. I'm a bit selfish. I want all the blood I can get. Also, another vampire can kill many people and it can get out of hand. Plus, newborn vampires can get pretty annoying.

A little on vampires. We don't sleep in coffins (I laughed while I was writing this). We also don't sleep upside down. The complete irony is, we don't sleep at all. That is what mortals do. Sleeping helps humans gain energy. Our source of energy is blood. So we don't sleep.

What do I do on my sparetime? Watch tv. I live in a small apartment. I could buy a mansion if I wanted to, not to brag. But who needs one. I'm just one person. I have a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing. Cars from the past work better than recent cars in my opinion.

Well I just got really thirsty. You know what that means.

I haven't written in 4 days. I've been busy. Actually I've been on a blood binge lately. I live in a small town in Washington State. I actually just moved here from California, due to the constant heat, and the bright sun. Population 573. After quenching my thirst, I watched tv all day. They've been playing old episodes of Pretty Little Liars all day.

 

I was walking in town yesterday, and I met someone. Her scent was strong. I would drink her blood if I wanted to at the moment, but I was feeling nice. We exchanged greetings and she gave me her number. She asked me a bunch of questions on the spot, and I was surely about to kill her right then and there, but I'm not heartless. (Total irony is, we don't have beating hearts, or hearts at all!)

 

She liked the clothes I wore, and wanted to know where I bought them from. Yeah she didn't tell me. How did I know? Another superpower. I know people's intuition. Before you do or say something, I know.

 

I was laughing on the way home. Why? I don't have a phone. Who do I need to talk to? I'm all alone. I think of myself of being the last person on earth. No one surrounding me. I'm alone.

 

Before this turns into a sob story, let me tell you about myself. My eyes are a bright yellow. Yes, one of the 'perks' of being a vampire. I run super fast. That's why I get away with everything. I can go invisible. I can fly, if I wanted to. It takes up most the energy I have.

 

I mentioned my parents died, in the battle of the hordes. It was a war between th evil vampires and the good vampires. The evil vampires in quote me, used to kill 'innocent mortals'. The good vampires, who feed on human food (which is basically just starving yourself for eternity) got angry and declared a war. Nobody won obviously, because I'm the only vampire left.

 

Why I am the only one left behind? I don't know, and I'm still trying to find out.

There's another vampire. I know there is. There's been thirty killings in this one day, and trust me, in this small town, it has to be a vampire. I'm going to get to the bottom of this. I'm feeling a bit nervous.

I went killing. I saw him. I swear I did. He came to me slowly, and held my brunette locks. He said his name was Reynard. He was older than me. I could smell it, and I could just tell by his name. It was in a very old era, when people named their children that.

He explained that he was a evil vampire, he knew that I was alive, and that why he was looking for me. His words were "It does get lonely with no one around."

I said I'm not lonely. Cause I'm not. Anyways, he said we should team up. I was considering it but I didn't take it into hand. I'm just meeting you and you want us to "team up?" I told him no, and he got pretty upset. 

He used the words "I'll be back." And flew away. Diaries are meant to keep secrets right? Well, I was honestly feeling anxious. I wanted to see him again. I don't know.

 

Maybe I really need someone.

february 15, unknown year

Today's my birthday. The day I was turned into a vampire. Do I wish I was mortal? Yes, sometimes and only because I have nothing to do most of the time. I want to see him again, so I'm currently walking down a narrow path writing and following his scent. He's nearby but I feel that he's running. He doesn't want to see me. But I'm a really fast runner.

I met him. Our exact conversation was:

"You're following me? I knew you'd be back." He grinned.

"Only going for my daily walk in the meadows."

"You don't have to lie."

"I'm not. What are you doing here? This is my territory."

 

"I surely don't see your name on it. I'm here because of you. Let's team up. Me and you, quenching our thirst. Sounds like fun."

I decided say yes. Only because I wanted to know more.

"Fine. But you can't kill more than 2 people a day. I might be an evil vampire by heritage, but I'm not your average bloodsucker who kills every mortal they can get. It's totally not what I do. Another thing is, you cannot turn anyone into a vampire."

"No deal. Another reason why I came here was because this the smallest town in the U.S. If I can turn everyone into a vampire, create a colony of vampires, and defeat the good vampires left."

"I can't do that for you."

"Sounds like your quite a pity of an evil vampire, and you're not the right person. I do wish we could meet again."

 

"I don't know-"

"Alright then. Meet me in this same place, midnight."

I nodded my head.

He then kissed me on my cheek, and ran away.

I could hear his laugh from a distance.

 

He is going to be trouble for me.

I am in my apartment. It's 11:58pm. I'm waiting until my clock strikes twelve. From here to the meadow takes an accurate measure of thirty seconds (with me running of course). Why can't those two minutes just pass! I might seem like a sinister vampire to you that doesn't need someone to talk to, but I'm certainly not. After being stranded on an island and a savior comes, isn't that a miracle?

 

Its twelve o' clock now. I'll be back to write what happens.
