Bio:
Hiroki is what is called a Kekkaishi, this is what they call someone who specializes in the art of forming barriers, wards, and seals, however they particularly specialize in barrier arts. Some of these individuals use this art to banish Yokai, evil or vengeful spirits or in some cases minor demons. This is what Hiroki has trained all his life for, he is one of the most promising and powerful Kekkaishi that his school has ever seen. He is also the first of the Minako clan to ever show any potential in becoming a true master at the Kekkai arts. Hiroki was called out one day by his Elder Teacher of his school, and told that he had a request from an old friend, and that he would like him to take on the request as he felt that Hiroki was finally read to take on a request job solo. This however, wasn't any normal job, as it turned out, the Yokai in question that was harassing his Elder's friend, wasn't just any Yokai, it was one of the highest level Yokai ever seen, it was a Warlord class Yokai, these were given names even. This one in particular was given the name of the Red Eyed Hound, for it's solitary red eye in the middle of it's forehead and it's body shape was that roughly of a dog, or some form of canine. Red Eyed Hound had only ever been encountered once before, and there had only been one survivor of the group of Kekkaishi that went out to subdue it. That survivor was Hiroki's Great grandfather, although Hiroki had never known the name, he knew that the fact he survived his encounter with Red Eyed Hound Hound made him some what famous, however that fame quickly died out in a few years all was forgotten about Red Eyed Hound. Now for a second time, here it was. Hiroki knew that he probably didn't stand a chance against such a Yokai, but he had a duty to try, even if it meant his life he had to try to subdue it to keep it from rampaging through the world, it would wreak havoc especially on those with no spiritual powers to protect themselves. Hiroki fought Red Eyed Hound with everything he could possibly muster,Hiroki was known and praised for his skill at thinking on his feet and often performing feats in unusual unorthodox methods, one of these had actually brought him a lot of strife from his teachers, he had shortened the incantation to form a barrier, instead of the 5 to 6 power words needed to form a proper barrier he had shortened it to just 3, Houi! Jouso! Ketsu! Hiroki also possessed superior agility and stamina than that of his peers, and this helped in greatly in his battle against Red Eyed Hound. However in the end it wasn't enough, and just when Hiroki thought that he would be killed, Red Eyed Hound stopped before Hiroki, and gave a laugh, and then stared at him with his singular red eye, and spoke. “Young Human, you have put up a valiant fight against me, and have entertained me greatly. For this I have decided that I shall not kill you today. No, in fact I believe I shall give you a gift, in honor of our fight today. I shall grant you the True Sight, the ability to see Celestial and Demonic beings, even when they disguise themselves. I believe I misspoke earlier calling this a gift from me, perhaps affliction or curse would have been a better term because I am not giving you a choice in accepting or refusing it, and like all things, it doesn't come without it's price, and you will pay that price.” Red Eyed Hound howled and from it's maw come what looked like a greenish hued lightning bolt, which struck Hiroki on the right shoulder, carving in brilliant fiery green light the a Symbol which Hiroki had never seen before, a great serpent encircling three pointed inverted star, his flesh made a sizzling sound, and the smell of charred fleshed filled the air. When Hiroki looked up, Red Eyed Hound was gone, his arm ached but this didn't bother him, quite as much as when he stood he felt noticeably shorter than his previous height of 6'9, he thought perhaps it was just the exhaustion of the day getting to him, he returned to the inn he had booked for himself when he had arrived in town. Hiroki went to his suite and fell quickly asleep, it had been one horrific day, not only had he failed to subdue Red Eyed Hound, his Elder's friend was also missing, presumably devoured by Red Eyed Hound. The next morning Hiroki awoke, he felt much better despite his failures from last night, he considered it as learning experience for the future. Hiroki showered, and when he went to shave, this is when he finally noticed and remembered what Red Eyed Hound had said to him, “Like all things it doesn't come without it's price.” Hiroki now saw what price he had paid for this “gift” he looked exactly as he had 5 years prior, he was 15 again or at least his body was. Hiroki now didn't think it was his imagination last night at feeling shorter, when he had been 15 his height was 6'7. He couldn't return to his order like this, he had to find a way to reverse the effects of this curse, this affliction, and the only hope he thought he might have is to confront Red Eyed Hound again, and perhaps strike a deal with him to remove the curse, or perhaps he will find a way to defeat Red Eyed Hound, and by defeating him remove the curse. In any event he would need to become self sufficient, this meant a job, an apartment, among other things. The job didn't take long, as it happened to be two towns over there was a fairly large city, he quickly found work there at a Deli and Food Market, he worked during the day, and during the night he would patrol the city for Yokai to keep them from menacing and distributing the locals. After a few weeks, his room at the inn ceased to be paid for, however by this time he had accumulated enough money to rent a small apartment, consisting of a small bathroom with a moderately small shower, and a toilet, one kitchen sink, one gas stove, 4 cupboards mounted above the kitchen sink and stove, one refrigerator, and one window. This was it, a economical apartment to which he could afford on his meager income.
