Story 1 - Mysterious Moon
I sat back in the old wicker chair on Grandma's porch, staring up into the glorious night sky as the clouds gave birth to a giant glowing orb. I heard the door creak open behind me. "Goodness, would you look at that!" she gasped. "Sure is something, ain't it?" I had never seen the moon this way, so large in the sky I thought I might be able to reach out and touch it. I probably would have, if it weren't for the deep orange color blazoning a giant warning across the sky to the ignorant dreamers of the world.


Story 2 - Apocalypse Wow
Eyes, covered in ash, opened slowly, trying to register surroundings. He sat up. Sharp pain swept over his body in waves and suddenly, the screams were audible. Panic filled him. People ran in all directions. Him, he could no longer move. The world was becoming clear now as an apocalyptic scene took shape before him, a blanket of ash on rubble and a sea of people blackened from head to toe. Tears streaming down faces gave way to little color. Blood stained their clothes. He shivered. Suddenly, a realization that made him look to the sky- that orange glowing moon!

Story 3 - The Songstress
Raleigh closed her eyes and imagined a glorious rolling pasture before her and a bright yellow sun. For a moment, she could feel all the warmth of a world left behind. Beautiful song escaped through her lips with great force but she could hardly hear it. Her mind and her body were no longer one and she had not felt so for a long time. Applause thundered in from around her and she finally opened her eyes. There were no green pastures or warm sun, only a stoney landscape painted in shades of grey. Above her, a luminous titian moon.
